I agree! I feel like it’s a way of going classic and timeless but yet being somewhat unique.
I will be the lone dissenter and say I prefer them to be all one color. For such a small bag, she already has a lot going on structurally and I think adding another color makes her look too busy and crowded with features, if that makes sense.
I agree, it think the two color exterior will make them look dated far sooner (much like all the multicolor pink bags being SO’d).
These are great points. This is a great discussion since I will probably only purchase one. Do you like gold/Ghw or black/ghw better?
I prefer one-color too. I like gold/GHW! But you can't go wrong with black/GHW either. They're both lovely, versatile choices!
Bi-colour mini-k are pretty and can be timeless too when picked the right colours. It's different and less common imho.

I am a very neutral bag person, and I am between getting gold ghw, or black (probably chèvre) ghw. My current collection kind of confuses me as to which to go for as I already own the following Hermès bags both in Epsom:
K28 noir ghw sellier
B25 gold ghw sellier
Since I own a gold smallest size Birkin, I kind of think it makes no sense to get a gold mini Kelly. But likewise, I already own a black Kelly. Then I think about black being more versatile for daytime and nighttime use. But gold is beautiful and classic, too. Help!

I think it depends on what you want it for... Casual daily wear? Dressier outings? I personally would not be able to use the mini for anything, my lifestyle simply requires a bigger bag, BUT if i were to get one, it would probably be reserved for the very rare dressier occasion. In that case, I'd probably go with black. If you would actually use this size bag for casual occasions, then either color works, TBH. Although I'd probably still go with black. LOL

LOL. My goal would be to use it for both. Casual daily wear, but also be able to grab it and go out to a nice dinner. I think my hangup with black is that I have the k28 in black, and could always use that although it is larger. But I’m not talking black tie events much lol so idk that I need a mini black for that level of dressy.
I love that black is classic and can be dressed up, but also can be used casually. I love that the gold pops against a lot of clothes.
It’s definitely the color of my other bags that’s confusing me on what to go with.
Black is always going to be more dressy and gold is very summer/daytime casual. I would go with a light pop color or a cool grey.
I would go for black chèvre PHW, but for me that’s because MK would never work for my lifestyle as a day bag. I don’t think of gold as an evening colour but maybe that’s because my B35 is gold and definitely not an evening option! The K28 is quite a generously sized bag IMO. I don’t use mine for evening unless it’s a professional function, so in your shoes I wouldn’t see evening crossover between K28 and MK.
