Please do not use magic eraser on leather, I did once and it removed the finish along with the dirt.

I have done it and it removed pen marks and the finish was perfectly fine. You need to dampen the sponge go over LIGHTLY and not multiple times and once it’s fully dry condition it (with a high quality leather conditioner or Nivea body milk - it’s how some expensive leather shops condition their leather items 😃)

As it turned out, my friend pretty much dropped the issue. I offered to cover the cost of repair with the Leather Surgeon and she declined. I'm glad my carelessness didn't ruin our friendship
