roots is AWESOME! I've had a few of their bags and have beat them up. They still look brand new.
It looks like this bag is made from the vintage tribe leather which already has a vintage "worn in" look to it. There's no need to age it or try to break it in since it's already broken in.
Great looking bag and they have AMAZING price points. Can't rave enough about their quality.

yes I did, but it took a lot of work I guess I should say. It went on backorder a week before I was going to buy it, and they told me on an email that it was on backorder till june 25, meanwhile, every day I checked the site, the backorder date when up and up. And I called them last night and they said even though it looks like it's going up, they've really got some in stock. I wasn't going to be able to get it till next week, but I found a way.

So you did actually get it even though the date keeps moving up? I've been really wanting to order one, too, and I keep watching the date move!!! Were they quick about sending it?
well, I actually had it ordered, and I got my dad to order it because I couldn't fully pay until a week after. And I started to think they didn't really have any in stock because I waited and wasn't getting an email saying they shipped it. But I called and was going to ask about the status of it, but they wouldn't tell me anything because it was under my dad's name. I told him to just cancel the order, turns out they were going to ship it, they just had to verify my info. The lady on the phone said that they happen to have just gotten a shipment in of them when I called but she couldn't guarantee how long they'd be there since the movie has caused so much popularity.
If I were you, I'd call and get a person on the phone, and ask them what the status is, if it's still on backorder, or do they really have some in? and then go from there, because I'd hate for you to go ahead and order one and then be on the waiting list till Kingdom come and have your money tied up. Let me know what happens!

Thanks for the info. I actually considered having them custom make one because I really would rather have nickel hardware on it. Apparantley that only takes 4 to 6 weeks and is only $25 more expensive than the actual bag so it would be just as long and at least it might be guaranteed to get here. I'll let you know what I find out!
yeah! and do let me know what's going on, on the site the date is still creeping up every day.
I ended up ordering the bag. It actually came in stock a few days before I was ready to order it and by the time I ordered it was back out of stock. I talked to Roots and they said that ever since the movie came out they can't keep that bag in stock. It is back in stock as of today so I'm hoping mine will be shipped soon! I'll be sure to post pics when I get it.
