Iconic Cartier?

also trinity line (although it was not for me, I decided to get rid of my trinity ring) and the love line (can't wait to get my YG cuff - I can't handle the constant wearing of a bracelet)

darkangel07760 - I have the Trinity Bracelet on the navy blue silk cord and I really like it. I can change the cord colour as often as I want (in the summer usually a bright colour) and it can come on an off easily.

The necklace is also beautiful and it also stunning and you can mix it with your other colours of gold. To be honest, I think it is all relative, the silk cord trinity here in London is now £320 therefore it is overrated in price, therefore when you think about the full bangle you are in the same situation.

At the end of the day you are paying for the exclusivity of having a Cartier item and for me waiting for that special item and then finally being able to wear it out of the red box is worth paying for.

The only other option if you want to minimise the price would probably be to get one that has been pre-owned. As long as you are going with a trusted dealer you can sometimes save max a 1/3rd on the price (well from what I have seen anyway).

BASICALLY - GET THE LOVE BRACELET IN 2011 darkangel07760

Thank you Felix123! And thank you for the modeling photos... My SO and I plan on having matching ones, so actually... I have JUST found out that if I can find an authentic one for a good price, then he will buy it for me. YEAH!

Well, I will tell you what I am looking for, and if you find anything let me know! I am currently scouring Ebay because that is all I can find with any Cartier.
I am looking for a white gold LOVE bracelet, size 17.

Felix123... I FOUND IT! I made an offer of $3100, no tax, free shipping, and it should be here by the 14th! They have a return policy, so if it doesn't fit then I don't lose out on my money. It is a size 17, which is what I need, they have all the papers... and hopefully I will be going to a Cartier shop on the 15th to get it authenticated!

Congrats on your new piece! I've posted some info for lurkers wanting more information [you know who you are :) ] .

Iconic Cartier jewelry from their contemporary offerings come from the les must collection with pieces typically under 5k and include the Love, Trinity, Entrelaces, Collection Logo, Lanieres, Tank, and Tortue lines. Lesser-known contemporary lines include the Inde Mysterieuse, Caresse d'orchidees par Cartier, Panthere de Cartier, and Himalia.

Historically Cartier has been known for delicate platinum Art Deco pieces, their Tutti Frutti jewels inspired by Oriental romanticism , the Santos wristwatch, and metal pieces inspired by exotic animal skins (notably leopard, python, and alligator).

Cartier is also known for their "mystery clocks," their contributions to horlogerie (and their recent moves to cement a more prestigious position in the watch manufacturing industry), accessories such as cigar cases executed in guilloche enamel, sunglasses, precious pens inspired by exotic animals, and lighters. To a lesser extent they are known for their leatherware lines, especially iconic if executed in Cartier's trademark burgundy color.

Cool thread idea! I hope that was helpful.

You're very welcome! There's a wealth of printed information on Cartier and I've been fortunate to come across them at the library and in bookstores. Here are few to look at if you want to know more about Cartier's heritage:

I've browsed through them all and own a couple. I actually bought Cartier: The Power of Style and Jewelry International Volume II at the BN in Roseville so you should be able to look through them locally.
