*cringe* then you without a doubt NEED, not an option, have to pick up the setting... you can stare and count the diamonds in halo to distract from the visit.. we definitely don't want you in pain! haha Just lie back in the chair and hold your hand to your face the entire time... it'll be over in no time.

I'm a pro at rationalization the craziest things... can you tell? haha

Yes you're a definite pro!!! DF doesn't stand a chance LOL!

It's a VERY simple design- nothing nearly elaborate as yours! And my e-ring will be slightly thinner than my wedding band (which I don't mind)

Haha I let him win every so often... haha he definitely keeps me sane! Otherwise my mind would really be scattered.

I think I saw the mock pictures from your other original reset post but has there been any updates to that? It will look fabulous! Sometimes simple designs are the best ones. My ring actually is really simple from the top down, it's got a little surprise when you turn it which I really like. It's a nice little mix.

And personally I prefer the look of the thicker wedding band. My e-ring is 1.8mm, my w-band is 2mm. but then you take into the account the spacer and it will make it look more even. You plan on still using your spacer and wearing your novo-band?

I can't wait to see the final product! What I've seen already was amazing, so I can only imagine what your diamond IN the setting will look like. Personally, I would TOTALLY pick up my ring on my own - especially since you have been waiting for this for FOREVER!! Since the ring's production was delayed, I would only imagine that you want it NOW and that nothing will stand in between you and your new masterpiece! I can't wait for pics!!!!! :nuts: :nuts: :nuts:

Now to Contessa...PICK IT UP!!!!! LOL. Will your DH really mind? I mean I personally don't think there is anything wrong with you doing that. I don't remember the story around it though. Was the redesign for a present (ie anniversary)?
I will say though, I picked my ring up from the jeweler each time during this past redo with "jeweler dude", except once. Each time I picked it up DH might have asked if I got it, or if I liked it but that was pretty much it. The one time he picked it up he was far more excited and involved. Even so though, if I had to do it over, I'd still go get it on my own...lol.
