OmG I hope its not color ruboff! I am finally not going to HK, and not travelling before summer so no leather spa, and I am not considering sending it anywhere because I live too far UPS would cost me at least a whooping $500 :eek

Thank you all for your input.
I will try to call the store in Paris and ask them what I can do. I don't wanna risk anything right now

HiJust nosing in from Balenciaga, not sure why I never do, but something made me look.
Woly shoe cream is wonderful. You can buy it hundreds of colours to match your bag.
Some of the Bal ladies have used it and it really is great.
Apply a tiny little bit on a lint free cloth, work it in using small light circular movement then leave to dry, preferably overnight, then simply buff with a soft cloth. ( I use a tea towel)...
Good luck

Just looks like the leather is dry because the product stripped the areas you rubbed of their moisture. Use a leather conditioner or any natural oil/lotion in those dry areas to restore moisture.

I will try the last chance surgery tomorrow, hope its just residue or dryness, will try a soft cloth first and maybe some lotion, should I use my husbands shoe polish? Works fab on our leather shoes.
I will let you know how it turns out

I would definitely take it to a leather spa if i were you they work miracles i promise. The thought of you experimenting again to try and fix it gives me anxiety. I hope everything works out for you.

But there is no leather spa or such thing around here! I called the Celine customer service and they asked me to send them pictures along with a copy of the receipe so they can send it to their lab in Italy. But the whole process can take up to 3 weeks but this is my only black casual handbag, its the one I use everyday everywhere, so I had no choice than to perform the "surgery".

Here is what I used: my daughter's wipes, a soft clothes that I got with my lambskin boy and my husband's shoe polisher (according to the tips you guys gave me).

To me, it looks more like color ruboff than a stain. Most leather cleaning products have a disclaimer on their packaging or labels warning color ruboff could happen with use. My suggestion would be to wait until you're in Hong Kong and find a professional cobbler or leather cleaner there.

Well, it's not that bad.
What do you think ?

Well, glad it is fixed,
Next time please no more DIY ! Respect! Haha

not sure if this is of any help since your bag is fine now but:

The same thing happened to me with a pair of lambksin leather pants. Wanted to condition them and ended up with huge white blotchy spots like you - left over bits of the polish i used. Couldnt get it out.. at the end, a sponge with a bit of lukewarm water helped, as well as some nivea body lotion - not kidding. A lot of people use plain nivea lotion on expensive leathers, since it is skin just like the skin on your body it melts into it. no worries regarding colour changes either...

Im impressed u dared to use the black shoe polish - I would not dare to do that, specially since it says "shiny" and your bag isnt that shiny originially is it? :-D Anyway, it all worked out, im so glad for u! well done! :))
