You are really dead set on hating Mikimoto, aren't you? :shrugs:

In the same breath, I can tell the OP never to buy Tiffany because it's just silver and you can get a silver bracelet that's just as nice for "waaaaaaaaaay less!"

i would get a piece that speaks to you. something that captivates you about the design.
for me, i would buy a frank gehry for tiffany piece or an ippolita piece.

i highly reccommend something from Kay Jewelers. While I know they're not as widely known as Tiffany's, I've had really good luck with Kay Jewelers before. They've given me excellent customer service, they are great about sizing rings and jewelry, and they usually have nice prices. Especially around the holidays there's big markdowns on their jewelry and you can get good stuff (14k gold, diamonds, etc.) for lower prices. They also have cute earrings = )
