This isn't the first time it has happened to me, and I'm sure some of you have gone through the same thing.

I ordered this:

From Bloomie's (here)

What arrived at my house today is this:

:cursing: The customer service number was "closed" for the day, so I sent an e-mail but I haven't heard back yet. I had the same thing happen once when I ordered a Dior ring from eLux - what showed up was totally different than the website photo, but the codes were the same. The CS woman told me then that the pictures were of a prototype piece that wasn't released and that a bunch of people had already had the same problem and that the website people had been told to take the photo down (it took them a couple of months after I called before it was changed). I'm fairly certain that is what Bloomie's CS will tell me, since the product codes match.

Some days I really hate shopping online.

Cedes that sucks! That is completely different, and definitely not as cute as what was up on the site. I'm sorry that happened to you, I hope you get everything sorted out quick!

Wow, that's a big difference. I would be disappointed. The petals from the prototype are much nicer looking and I would have made my purchasing decision based on that.

I mean what if you had plans for this jewellery. What if say.... you orderd this jewllery and had planed to wear this jewellery with a green dress!

It woudent be quite the same effect would it!

NO WAY return it:rant:

Geez, Cedes, that's totally different!!

I know people made/make fun of it but I guess that's why my mom always did a lot of shopping from channels like QVC because what they presented was always what you got. You could at least SEE what it was that was going to be sent to you...with these sites, they can change pictures anytime they want to. :nono:

I had this happen once when I ordered a bra. It was a duplicate of one I had purchased elsewhere. When it arrived, it was the same brand, but a completely different style. When I talked to customer service I was told that they'd never had the style pictured in their catalog, the one I'd ordered. So I thanked them very much for the gift and they credited my Mastercard.

I'm pretty sure you can make a good case for exchange and refund... they didn't provide you the exact merchandise you paid for, and at the time of purchase they didn't specify anything like 'actual item may vary' etc...

isn't it some kind of false advertising?

Well I e-mailed about it yesterday because my schedule keeps causing me to miss their CS phone hours and I still haven't heard back today. If I don't get an e-mail from the morning I'm going to have to call. :/

I was at the Juicy boutique today and they have a necklace with flowers that match the Bloomie's picture exactly so I asked if they were expecting the bangles in and they said they didn't think the bangles even existed. Gah.
