Yes, it’s *used* that way by the downscale media’s talking heads and by fringe supremacist groups (see: incels), in an attempt to make “offense” seem like a weakness rather than the ethical and righteous stance it is. Misogyny *is* offensive because it’s moral cowardice and moral harm by those living a self-centered fear-based life. So are homophobia, racism, transphobia, islamophobia, etc. Regardless, a SA who brings such bigotry to the workplace does brand damage to a company that depends on women to maintain its profits, and which has been openly supportive of causes such as gay marriage and climate change. It’s okay to critically examine downscale buzzwords rather than just parroting them.

Yes critical analysis is subjective and is based around your opinion and I respect your opinion and your right to freedom of speech.

A debate is always a good thing, however the tone of your reply suggests that you cannot entertain any opinion other than your own.

As you have attempted to imply that I am a lower intelligence than your very learned self, there would be no use suggesting that the far left wing media/supporters by trying to find offense and throwing accusations of racism, mysogny etc at anyone who disagrees with them actually do those who have suffered and continue to suffer true prejudice an awful disservice.

There are many different interpretations of the word snowflake, the interpretation I was referring to was one that became popular in the UK after the result of the referendum

Other than frozen rain, a “snowflake” is a term used to describe an overly sensitive person who thinks the world revolves around them.

Snowflakes gasp in horror when they hear an opinion they don’t like, and believe they have a right to be protected from anything unpalatable.

It is also somebody who is self-obsessed and fragile, easily offended, or unable to deal with opposing opinions.

I believe we have both bought our thoughts to the table, I doubt that there is anything more to be gained with continuing this conversation

I brought a few pieces in to be cleaned and I was also looking for a new necklace for myself. I brought my pieces to customer service first, then proceeded back to fine jewellery to peruse and see what caught my eye. There were 4 SAs talking in a corner amongst themselves with no regard to the fact I was there. A greeter from the silver room came over and had to pull one of the SAs away from their conversation to let them know a customer was waiting to be helped.

I looked at 3-4 necklaces, all in YG or RG with diamonds (not that it matters but all in the $4500 range) and really liked the rose gold pave Paper Flowers necklace which I honestly didn't even consider prior to arriving at the boutique. The SA (middle aged man, around early 50s to mid 50s) proceeded to tell me the Paper Flowers collection represents that women need to stop trying to be men, and should embrace their femininity wholeheartedly because being strong should be left to the men.....um what!?

Why was this comment necessary lol!!! during the entire encounter with the SA he was distracted, aloof, and obviously didn't care to provide any level of customer service. I believe he made up his mind that I wasn't going to buy the moment I walked in that store, he solidified his opinion (my assumption of course) by providing the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered!
What a strange experience indeed. My inner smart ass probably would have emerged full force had I encountered this particular SA. I probably would have said some along the lines of, "If I need to stop trying to be a man, I suppose I should just wait for my husband to buy me this jewelry instead of buying it for myself. Since my husband is nowhere in sight, no commission for you!"

I have reported your series of offensive posts.

This is the outcome of you not wanting to take responsibility for your opinions, which are derogatory, juvenile, and aimed at hurting people. There were others on this thread who were ready to open up dialogues with you but your above post appears to demonstrate that you are not willing to engage.

How ridiculous,
Where exactly have I been offensive?
I was replying directly to another poster .., this you would have realised if you had read my posts properly instead of jumping on the bandwagon .. I was actually defending myself against another poster, who jumped on the same bandwagon as you, after the matter had been previously resolved .. which you have clearly failed to notice in your haste to report and virtue signal.
