I got my Eternity Ring!!!! Yeah!!!

I'm not sure what eternity/anniversary bands are supposed to represent - I guess whatever the giver wants it to represent? I have 3 eternity bands that I wear on my right hand ring finger. One is a shared prong setting of diamonds, one is the same but with alternating diamonds and sapphires, the third is the Tiffany 'swing' ring (has a little design to the setting, with a small amount of diamonds, maybe a half carat or so). My husband has given them to me for birthdays or Christmas the past few years. I absolutely love them - they sparkle so! There's something about smaller diamonds that I love - the way they sparkle almost like glitter. It's an effect you just can't get from larger diamonds.

I always thought that you were given an Eternity ring on the birth of your first child but my hubby disagreed - especially as we were only married 1 year before our daughter was born. He said that you had to be married for an eternity (which in his mind is 10 years!!) Ha!
They are normally worn on the left hand above your engagement ring but my engagement and wedding rings are curved so I would have had to had one made specially to fit. Also, as it would need to curve upwards it would come right up to my knuckle and I have too short fingers for that, so I decided to get a straight ring and wear it on my right hand instead.
