Thank you! With your advice, I could upload the photos.. :)

You're most welcome. :smile1:
I understand that you're bothered with the scratch because it's supposed to be a brand new bag. As mentioned, try to negotiate a partial refund with the seller and take it from there. I believe when this happens, it'll make you feel a lot better about the scratch. Good luck. :smile1:

The best thing about H leather is that most of them "age" beautifully. They are long lasting items with best quality that should tolerate time beautifully and assurance of after care from H. I think that is, bottom line, why a lot of us are attracted to H. IF the items you purchase are for "collection" they would and should stay in an enclosed conditioned space. If not, we enjoy the process of aging that comes along with wrinkles and scratches, and as we use them the scratches are inevitable.

I suppose there is a plus side to it already having the first ding, you won't be upset at having done so yourself, if you are that sort of person. Since it is already broken in, you should be less hesitant to muck it up and just ahead and use it. I liken it to a new car versus a used one. Used is already going to have a marks of character of just being and so the fear is lessened.

You love the bag, keep it, use it and enjoy it. If it bothers you, return it. And I agree with others about the leather scratching. The SA dragged her nail across a swatchand it scratched just like box does. Does it make it any less beautiful? Is a child less beautiful after they've fallen off a bike and have a scar? Not in my eyes but we are as different as snowflakes.

it seems as if the scratch bothers you so either return the bag or ask for a discount, especially if you paid a premium. as beautiful as the bag is, you will keep zooming in on the scratch, and eventually try to sell it.

can't agree more!! all those wrinkles and scratches make the H bag more natural and beautiful!!

Thank you guys&girls, your advice encouraged me a lot!!! I finally decided to keep Ghillies Kelly - I couldn't resist the beauty of Ghillies - and also asked partial refund to the reseller. He accepted it and told me he would check more cautiously when I purchase another bag from him. :smile1:

And yes, I need to be more broad-minded to the scratches on my tadelakt bag. It's natural that it has some scratches and as it's the nature of the leather, it will age beautifully as time goes by.. I admit it.
Hmm.. But I found myself to be sensitive about bags.. One seller at another shop took off the film on the lock part? - I don't know the name of the part.. the dougnut type ring for podlocking - when she was checking the condition of the bag, scratch..
Even though someday the film will be taken off naturally, as I was very cautious not to peel it off, I got bit upset.. ooooh.. I need to be more broad-minded to my bags!!! :sweatdrop:

I bought my Rubis Ghillie Kelly at the boutique, and the first time I took it out of the box to play with it a couple hours owning it, I scratched it myself... sigh! that's just part of owning and using your things.

i find my nails (and I have short ones) scratch the leather quite easily, but it's light and just part of the natural life of the leather. if it will always bothers you, return it, but know when you find one absolutely "perfect", it probably will not stay that way for long! :smile1:

Hmm..

I would personally feel that we should enjoy what we carry and if being extra cautious tend to stress you out when you carry this ghillie, then you might want to consider letting it go, and get something that you will be comfortable carrying.

The bag, esp H bags and the bag owner will form a kind of bond after spending some "intimate" moments together...So I hope that as much as you want to baby your lovely Kelly... I too hope you will enjoy the days ahead together ;)

Just my 2cents worth.

It's a lovely and unique Kelly... very pretty

I totally understand your predicament, but this is SUCH a rare beauty that i would NOT let it go! It will scratch a bit eventually, so try to just consider it a small breaking in and carry the beauty with pride!
