Hello.
I purchased a brand-new Ghillies from a reseller yesterday, it's K32 Ghillies rubis tadelakt.
When I pay for this bag I couldn't check the status of the bag as it was being delivered to my area and I heard it was just bought from the H boutique.
After I got the bag, it was so gorgeous but I found a minor scratch on the front side of it.
The scratch can't be seen easily as it's light, not serious, but when I see the bag upside or left side, I can see it. But when I see the bag downside or from the right side, I can't ser it.
When I ask about this to the reseller he told me as tadelakt leather is smoothe it's possible to have a minor scratch on it even it's a brand new just from the boutique.
I also know the leather is easy to get scratch, but I'm curious even the new one can have a minor scratch on the front side?
It's a minor scratch and cannot be easily seen, but do you think I'd keep it or ask refund of this bag? I need your advice and help!!

Does it bother you? If not, maybe ask for discount as it wasn't described as it should have been?

You could try to ask the boutique, but since you didn't buy it directly from them, you won't have much recourse. Because you can't prove it was never carried and came from Hermes scratched. If it bothers you too much, have you spoken to the reseller about a discount or returning?

I've bought bags with scratches or minor imperfections on them from H boutique. For myself, i don't mind as long as its not a major issue, but to each his/her own tolerance. If you cannot accept it, why not contact the seller for a return ?

Thank you for your replys. I want to post photos but I don't know how to upload jpg files to my thread..

I only asked why it has a flaw and the reseller told me there sometimes are minor flaws even on the item that has just been bought from the boutique.
I didn't ask about refund or partly refund(discount, as I alread paid 100% of the price) but before I purchase this item, he told me if I don't be satisfied with the condition of the bag he can refund it.

But as Ghillies K32 in rubis is rarely found, I also want to keep it.. but I'm so sensetive about the scratches.. what can I do? X(

Bought a purse at nordies a while back and the SA also sold me a leather conditioner which he said made scratches less visible. I think he demonstrated it. Cost like $15. I never got around to using it as it is my understanding that H doesn't like people to use creams should the bag ever be sent to the spa. Which it could as I have found that box leather really scratches, except that I don't want to surrender the bag for the couple of months I assume the spa process will involve. Perhaps you could get a similar cream, try it on a non-H bag and see what you think. Docride, a tpf member, is always conditioning and restoring banged up bags by using various creams; she gets beautiful results. I assume the creams would have to be reapplied to make scratches less noticeable. But it might be worth it to you until the bag gets more unavoidable scratches in use and you get to the point where you just live with it.

I've gotten bags with minor flaws from H that no one else noticed but me. But the thing is resellers are almost held to higher standard precisely because they are not the store....supposed to describe condition exactly....I would ask for discount as you want to keep bag. I'm sure the reseller will work with you- it's a lot of hassle to resell the bag!

Negotiate for a Partial refund.

To upload a pic, go to the "Go Advance" button at the bottom of the text box, click "Manage Attachments" under Attach Files and the rest is similar with how you attach pictures on an email. HTH.

if you are sensitive about scratches, tadelakt is not for you. this is the leather the rubis ghillie is made of and it does scratch easily with use!

This!
You will most likely scratch it with use later on anyway..
Tadelakt is very similar to box, scratch very easy..
But i find tadelakt to be a wonderful leather which i think would age beautifully like box..
I hope you keep the bag..
