What you just said is the same thing the poster you quoted was saying!!

I think my response was clear. Moving on.

The person I addressed sounded like she thought LV should recommend a product to use against water, and I'm saying LV doesn't and won't do this. I think my response was clear. Moving on.
Hi fellow Dutchie!Wauw! I'm from The Netherlands and we always use that same product to protect our shoes. I just have my speedy for a week and trying out the 4 day proces of patina champ. What did the product do to your vachetta? just wondering if it makes your handles dry or they got darker. I'm just not really hesitate to use products on my new speedy
I seriously poored water on my luggage tag and everything fell of immediately!Very cool. I've treated my bags with Apple Guard but I've never actually been brave enough to test it with a drop of water....that being said...have you?
How does this product compare to Apple Guard? Is there a place where I can order this product online?
Ill go with this LOL there's more scientific basis. Kudos to the chemical formula for nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Now we just have to figure out the chemical reaction that happens when silicone is mixed with these chemicals...we can also substitute the equation with normal water ( H2O) ....I'm not going to agree with this. Collonil is very well known for it's quality and durability here in Western Europe, it is a German brand. If anything is important in shoe care products, it is the protection of the stitching. The stitching is the most important part of shoes and bags, they keep the product together. Louis Vuitton uses stitches that are twisted, and after the twisting process, they're again twisted, which is called twined. This makes the stitches very durable. Mulberry also advices to use Collonil on their products, they won't advice it if Collonil ruins stitching and leather...
Rain contains sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and nitric acid (HNO3) and pesticides, which are very harmful and will dry out leather. So personally I feel it is a good thing to care and protect your bags against rain. Especially for people that live in countries, where it rains almost everyday.![]()
Both no. Damier Ebene has a coating, so it's already protected. The inside will transfer if you spray it.Does the darker DE leather need any protection? And what about the interior of our bags, do you spray the inside? Thanks

Oh yeah, silicone has such a stable chemical structure , forgot about that... This makes that product to be really effective as a water proof agent...hmmm we have to conduct an experiment on vachetta then, first I have to find the product here..
Yes...Id probably find one online...Are you in the US? I buy Collonil products from a seller on eBay. Looks like they have this Nanopro stuff in stock: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Collonil-NANOPRO-Waterproofing-for-leather-with-nano-protection-300ml-10-1oz-/150896399390?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item232220541e
I still have 2 cans of the regular waterstop spray, though so I am wondering if the Nanopro is that much better than the regular stuff. I do have a lot of stuff to spray for fall (jackets, boots, bags, etc.) though so if I start to run low I'll give the Nanopro a try.
