I was poking around in my closet and I found s leather cuff I forgot about.

There is a local artist who uses reclaimed car leather to make jackets, bags and other accessories. He also made these leather cuff/wallet/pocket thing.

I remember being so impressed with how cool the cuff was and my friends and I all got one. We got to choose our leather and lining.

The leather on my cuff is the softest lamb skin I have ever felt in my life. And the snake trim I got is equally buttery.

I wish I had a jacket - or a bag in the same.

Have you ever bought a bag or slg strictly for the handfeel?

Bought 2 baseballism bags/wallets, because were glove leather.
And I attend/love games.
Here is 1:
Show us your spring bags!
Unfortunately, it & wallet bled dye onto everything. Plus blistered in rain. And smelled weird.
So went bye-bye.:hrmm:
Other bag had design issues, also.
Epic fail.

However, my fave hand-feel leather bag is chanel 2.55(reissue) in aged calf.
Utterly luxurious to use, touch & wear.

Also enjoy deadly ponies NZ deer leather/suede. Pat, pat, pat.:girlsigh:

The whole thing is a giant pocket! The artist uses his for a wallet. I haven’t even done anything special with mine in terms of treatment. It still feels amazing several years later.

I always always look at the material first... but I don't so much look for a specific feel or touch as such, but rather appreciate if the right kind of leather is used for the design of the bag. For instance, if I am looking at a structured bag that uses some soft leather thats been chosen by the designer for its looks and then had to be robustly reinforced just to get the bag to sit right, for me thats a big no no and really shows the young brands from experienced brands. The right type of leather that is tanned just so for the right kind of bag is a thing of pure beauty in my eyes... and Hermes is a master at this.
