So...sometime within the past 24 hours my new Louis Vuitton sunglasses were damaged
I ALWAYS keep my sunnies (I call them stunnas) inside my bag. My bag is ALWAYS (let me repeat...ALWAYS) up off the floor, usually on a desk or a chair. My 2 children (my daughter Emma Rose is 6 years old and my son Carrick Leighton is 4 years old) are NOT allowed to touch either my bags or my sunnies. They have no reason to even need to. I am VERY protective over these items, as my designer collection is small but slowly growing.
This morning on my way to work I took out my new LV sunglasses. To my horror, the case was crooked & the closure didn't match up. Upon further inspection, I see dents on the side of the case near the hinges! Thankfully, the sunglasses themselves seem to be okay other than a slight level difference on the right side when placed flat. This whole incident definitely started my morning off in tears no doubt. I'm planning to take them this weekend to my local optical retail office to see if the level issue can safely be corrected. As I live no where even remotely close to a LV boutique.
Bottom line...OMG! WTH happened? These sunglasses have been inside their storage bag placed neatly inside the case which was inside my Galliera that has been sitting on top of our computer desk @ home since yesterday evening when I got home from work.
Amazingly enough...neither my kids nor my fiance seem to know anything about this "mysterious" damage. I called the LV shop @ the Forum Shoppes inside Caesar's Palace in Vegas where I bought them and was told that LV does not sell JUST the sunglass case. HUGE disappointment! The SA I talked to took down my contact info and said he would forward my inquiry to the "accessories" dept. Not sure how far that's going to get me?
Now I feel like I can't even wear them without a fully functional & protective case. I'm so bummed....
