Last week I had a bad return experience at Macy's too. Someone sent my DD a gift that she already had. I went to Macy's thinking I could return it since it had the little Macy's return sticker. The salesperson scanned the sticker said this had been returned already! Not possible since I know the person bought it brand new. So she asked if I can get the receipt or credit card used. I later got the email receipt from the person (so embarrassing to ask) and went back to Macy's. The salesperson said the system couldn't process it with my phone receipt and that I had to print it out! I lost it by then and told her we need a manager and no way am I coming back a third time. After a long time on the phone with the mgr and waiting for the actual mgr to come, my return was processed. My point is that their system and sometimes their associates are lame. Good luck with this.

Oh no, this is the exact thing I'm dreading.... I hope it goes smooth. I talked to a SA named Robert and he assured me (after my whole explaination) that they would correct it within the 14 days of purchase if I go in there. I have a picture of the sale from that day with its time stamp so pray for me ladies lol,

That's crazy. Hopefully you can get it sorted, so uh, after all this.. you like the bag?:amuse:

Lol! I feel like this is the perfect bag for me. Organizational like the stanton, and all black so it matches. The hardware feels flimsy but I can look past that. I just want to make sure I can get the price adjusted.. hopefully it will work.

Absolutely, you deserve to have the proper pricing. Glad you like the bag overall though, at least helps to temper all the hassles.

UPDATE AS OF 12/26

I came in today with my bag and all the receipts & reprinted tag.

I waited in line and finally got to talk with the SA (different from the one that helped me originally) she said she'd have a more experience SA help me (his name is Robert and actually I had called in on the 21st and he assured me he could help)

After 15 minutes of explaining my story and explaining how if they didn't believe I bought this bag here that they could for sure check the security footage from 12/21, Robert ended up coming to assist me by giving me the price adjustment from the 21st like he promised before I left town (keep in mind today's date is 12/26 & the sale for my specific bag had ended) & refunded me the money no questions asked and just proof of the sale with a picture.

Overall,it was stressful af bc the SA before Robert didn't know what was going on and was about to just tell me to go away but had I not called and talked to robert....

Long story short,
Macy's righted their wrong and kept their word so no hard feelings! I got my perfect bag to use daily and they have a loyal customer ♡♡♡ thanks to everyone's responses ❤ happy holidays

Glad to hear it all worked out! It's amazing how a nice/helpful/understanding SA can make a huge difference in our shopping experience.

Yes! I was completely about to not refund for the price adjustment but since I talked to robert I figured why not? I would by from macys again but I'm definitely gonna check from now on if I buy a bag that has no original tag and just a receipt, to check the label/sku to make sure they match

Yay! I'm glad it worked out! I love my Minetta (I love organization and pockets), so I hope you continue to love yours. I prefer to think of the hardware as refined instead of flimsy. But seriously, I tote my iPad and all of my other junk in mine, and I've never had any problems with the hardware.

Glad it worked out for you! The Coach area of my closest Macy's is a total hot mess - no one ever around, and when you finally find someone, they know nothing about Coach. My Dillard's on the other hand, is amazing...the SA's there greet me by name and I even get hugs from one of them. Guess which store gets most of my business?? :)
