I am so upset someone stole my key fob.

Holy crap, did they bust your window just for the fob? Was anything else taken? Even though they sell for a good price on eBay, they don't sell for enough to risk getting caught breaking into a car in a public parking lot......geeezzzz, some people are just scum.

They do have cameras outside target. They are going to check the footage. I don't know if they broke in specifically for the fob but that is what they took. I also realized today that my sons karate bag was in the car with all his gear and weapons. That was gone too :( I only realized it was even in the car when my son asked about his bag. He left it in the back. I have no idea what they would possibly want with that. Everything has his school name on it and his name permanat marker. I am just so angry and frustrated over the whole situation :(

They might have thought something else was in the bag. I hope the cameras caught it and caught enough of it to get the a$$holes that did it. At one time I would have blamed it on dang juvenile deliquents that have nothing better to do now that school is out, but with all the stupid dopeheads around now, I put nothing past them, they'll do anything and steal anything for a fix.......

Too true. Last year we went to the cemetery to visit my husband's departed parents only to find that their marker had been stolen for the bronze - that was quite a shock.

There is an epidemic of heroin use in our area, and we're definitely seeing an uptick in property crimes. People are even breaking into churches and stealing the collection boxes! :cursing:

There's a special place in hell for people like that.

Just wanted to give everyone an update. Unfortunately there is no real way to get my items back. I am angry and sad but even though they are keepsakes they are just things. So i will just be sure to not put things like that in my car. Its sad that i have to do that but no everyone is a honest person. Thank you for all the well wishes :smile1:

Thieves see bags in cars and take them so they can load them up and get away without drawing too much attention to themselves. When my husband was in college someone broke into his car at our apartment and pretty much wiped it out. We could not figure out what they would want with his ratty 10 year old JanSport backpack, or a duffle filled with an entire Tom Clancy book collection (I still have no idea why he had that in the car). The officer that came to take a report told us that is less suspicious seeing someone carrying a black duffle bag than an arm full of merchandise. They did take all my husband's textbooks out of the backpack and stacked them neatly on the back seat. That just shows the mental capacity of the thieves...those books were the most expensive things in there and were the only thing they left behind.

About ten years ago I had someone steal my hubcaps off my minivan, yes you read that right, my minivan

I replaced them for about $50, and the best thing is they couldn't get one off, so they left it
