Silly question for anyone with a cammello bag... According to the MG website it is sun exposure that causes darkening of the leather, so does that mean the front of the bag ends up darker than the back of it? What about the bottom? Are you supposed to rotate it to get even exposure :S

Hi, I think mine has darkened uniformly in the front and back. But the little pouch I never use and leave inside the bag is visibly lighter and less patina'd than the bag itself. Also, I feel like the bag patina'd somewhat even in its dustbag, in between uses. Which seems strange?

I wouldn't worry about it unless you are leaving it in the sun regularly. If you are sitting in an outdoor cafe, it will get different light than if you are carrying it. And, if you are walking towards the sun with it, you will get different light than if you are walking away. I think they are just letting you know that the leather is susceptible to change. Because of that, I would not leave it sitting in a window for days on end. But I wouldn't worry about exposing the bottom or whatever to make sure it gets equal light.
