I think the buckle bracelets do run smaller! My amethyst bracelet is the standard size {Medium} and my blue topaz is a Small. I don't think the buckle bracelet was a special order or anything, so I think it is the standard size. You can kind of see in my picture that the amethyst bracelet is larger than the other two. I hope that helps!
I unhooked the buckle to see if that would make a difference but it still seems to be smaller.
My standard size pearl bracelet fits like your amethyst. I guess I'll order the large size for the buckle since I want them to fit similarly. I wish that my pearl was a small because I do like how the buckle fits. It's just uncomfortable to wear two sizes as they don't move around together.
That's how mine is, too! They didn't have a larger buckle bracelet when I bought mine so I went with it.
I called DY today and had them measure some over the phone (there's no DY boutique in my area). They are variable in size. The large is too big. They had some mediums that were the exact same diameter as my other bracelets. My buckle is 0.5mm smaller than most of the ones they measured. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it's annoying because the bracelets don't move together. I measured most of the bracelets in my stack, and the ones that I wear the most are all the same size (DY and non-DY). I decided to return my buckle and wait until I can get to a boutique to find one that's closer in size to my cables. I just know I won't wear this one as much because it's annoyingly smaller and slightly off-shaped compared to my other bracelets.
