How to Protect Monogram Empreinte Leather in Creme Caramel Color?

Hello,
I posted this question in the LV Shopping subforum and no one replied. So I'm posting in the general LV discussion board in hopes that more people will see my question and respond. :smile: I just purchased a Speedy 25 in the Monogram Empreinte Leather. The color is called creme caramel. Because of the light color, I'd like to protect it from stains. Does anyone have any suggestions for a stain repellant or leather cleaner? Thanks in advance for your help.

This is a really expensive and beautiful bag. I would talk to LV about your questions and concerns. I would do whatever they say. If they say wipe it down with a damp cloth, that’s what I’d do.

Any other suggestions from people here or the Internet I would be wary of. This is not their bag and people can suggest anything and everything.

Annawakes, Thanks for your very wise suggestion about contacting LV directly regarding my concerns. Hopefully, there will be no staining or color transfer issues. I'm worrying and I haven't even worn the bag yet. lol :biggrin:

Carbon Pro spray works amazing to avoid color transfer. I use it on Chanel, LV and Gucci leather.

Hello, may I please request that you share few photos of your beautiful bag? They do not have it in the store of my country and I need to order it from other country but would like to see it on action. I only seen it in the official website. Thank you very much.

Amame, I've ordered the bag and it's due to arrive this week. I'll upload a photo once I receive it so you can see it in action.:smile:

I just saw this beautiful bag online. My heart skipped a beat! I have a Speedy 30 in Neige which is very similar. I haven't had an issue yet with color transfer but I'm careful about what I wear with it. If you do decide to try to treat it, be sure to test a small area maybe on the bottom or the bag first. Please post pictures of your new beauty when you get it :) I'm really glad to see the return of the Speedy in Empreinte.

I recently bought a can of the Carbon Pro spray and found that after it was sprayed, it seemed to take a loooong time to dry, and looked greasy. How is your experience? Do you wipe it off after a few minutes? Sorry, the can offers little information and neither does the Amazon site. Thanks for any info you can share!

Yes let it dry for a few minutes and buff with a soft cloth. I think the directions on the can explain probably better than I do. :)

Hello Coloradolvr, I will post pictures when it arrives. Like you I'm excited to see this bag as well as it's interior in person. I've watched YouTube videos of the Speedy 25 in the empreinte leather but none have been in the creme caramel color. Stay tuned!:smile:
