Once bought giant ice chest, to avoid paying for bags during 2 week road trip in WA. Then donated chest at end.
10 cents per bag?! F*** no!![]()
Guess I should have clarified: if it’s just ONE bag, the 10 cents isn’t a big deal. But it adds up. Also, the environmental cost is a bigger deal to me than the 10 cents (which was the reason behind the ordinance in the first place)!
They have the same in most cities and counties in my region. It started just with grocery stores and it now applies to just about every store. And even when you order takeout (fast food included).
Now I have a proliferation of reusable bags. Some acquired when I forgot my bag. Others from giveaways at work events. But I have purchased these Baggu bags, and they are my fave reusable bag. Better made than the Chico bags. And seasonal patterns. They have some nice minimal leather bags too.
