How to fix the GG hardware?

It looks like tarnish to me. Sometimes the acid in ketchup removes tarnish. I know that sounds crazy, but it works on copper. I had some silver earrings dipped in gold; I guess you call that electroplated, and they looked like your belt, and I used silver polish to remove the stains that look like the ones on your belt. The earrings looked better after the silver polish than when I bought them. I don't know if either of these solutions will work and I can't guarantee it won't make it worse just to be honest.

I haven’t had a problem with GG metal yet…but have used Wenol on the hardware from other brands.

Brasso has been mentioned in the LV forum:
