how often do u get new jewellery?

I buy jewelry when I see something I like or when the mood strikes me. I love jewelry and I usually buy only fine jewelry. Every once in a while I will find something costume. LAtely, I tend to buy a lot of sterling silver though. About 2 times I year, I make big expensive purchases though.
I don't buy costume jewellery because I know I don't wear them after a while. I usually buy fine jewellery at least twice a year, when the local jeweller, Oeding Erdel have their sale. I'd rather buy something that I would wear often, classic pieces that I can pass it down to my daughter (if I ever have one).

I have just bought two rings from an antique fair... but that is probably the first time I have bought fine jewellery for myself in about two years...
I received a beautiful links of london silver necklace from my mum at Christmas.
I normally only buy myself 'costume jewellery' - I like big chunky necklaces from marni and bought 3 recently. I am lusting after the Hermes rivale bracelet next

Since my last post in this thread, I bought the rivale bracelet which I lurve. It's pictured here with my black diamond and diamond pave ring that I bought from an vintage fair.

every 6 months (for xmas and then in july for my bday). it helps that we have a jewelry broker in the family though 
I normally get nice pieces about once or twice a year. I do sometimes buy lower-priced jewelry in between (what I would consider "fashion jewelry"), but it is always at least 14K gold, as others tend to tarnish quickly and leave my skin darkened or green.
i bought a lot the previous year- two items per month. but got tired of buying after i got some stuff from my mother. this year, i only bought one item so far. so i'm doing really well. 
I used to buy every month but since my mother handed down her jewelry to me and my sisters, I have lessened my trips to the jeweler. Now I buy only twice a year and limit my purchases to ten pieces a year (2 rings, 2 bracelets, 2 watches, 2 necklaces, and two pairs of earrings). Even then I think I buy a lot!
I buy jewelry all the time, but I only get costume jewelry/sterling silver. I don't even like fine jewelry at all I guess because it seems small and not that exciting unless it's like thousands of dollars. But I could go all crazy over a $4 pair of earrings or a flashy cocktail ring or something like that. I do have a few more expensive necklaces, like $50-100, but that is rare I would spend that much on 1 item, usually what I get is $15 or under now. I have Tiffany jewelry from like 10 years ago and some other gold pieces but I don't even wear it anymore.
In all honesty I buy new jewellry whenever I see something I like. I really don't care for costume jewellry so I rarely, if ever, buy that. Also, my fiance knows I adore beautiful baubles so if he sees something he knows I'll like, he picks it up.
