You know - now I'm not sure if it's $4200 or $4500 - my friend just bought one and am waiting for her response but she said it was "just over $5K" with tax... I'm guessing it's $4500. I would just buy it on Bloor at Cartier.
I highly doubt the Cartier Love Bangle is less expensive in Canada. That to me, is very unlikely. If your friend paid over $5k, then it wouldn't be $4200
EVERYTHING jewellery-wise (esp name brand like Tiffany's, Cartier etc...) is always less expensive in the US (compared to Canada)

Sorry, this may be off topic, but I have to say, I am starting to not like coming onto tPF as much anymore. I had absolutely NO INTEREST In the love bracelet before coming on this forum. And then all these threads have led me to look at pictures. . .and more pictures. . .and now, dare I say, I am starting to want one too??

Kohl - I am with you! I didn't even know what the Cartier love bracelet was until I came here. Now I want one and even though I have a Cartier tank. I want a Rolex after seeing some of the pics here. What is wrong with me??

tpf has furthered my obsession with VCA, gotten me into wanting Cartier, thinking about watches whereas I once didn't care... so dangerous!
I think since moving to NYC my awareness of all things things is heightened. Too many people with love bracelets in yoga classes and huge rings (in yoga!) for me not to notice. Argh!

I think it's easy to get caught up in the TPF madness, but you have to take a deep breath and be true to yourself and your lifestyle. I love coming on here, but in the 3+ years I've been here I've only bought 4 bags 2 necklaces, and my Love bracelet. It's tough, but for me, I can't keep up with the TPF Joneses, so I just try to enjoy seeing what other people are considering, and give my opinion where I have one.

As for checking prices on the e-boutique, they do have one for the United States. I know wg is also more than yg/rg because of the platinum content Cartier puts in their wg pieces. As of now (not sure when the price increase was/is) the plain yg bracelet is $4300. . .
I totally cannot believe that the plain WG bangle is $4700!!!!
I'm glad I have it and I did not and would not ever pay $4700 plus tax for it. It just doesn't look like it should cost that much. It'll probably be over $6000 in a few years which is insane!

Ugh, I know. By the time I finally decide whether or not to buy the love bracelet, it'll be well over 6k. By then I'd either have to suck it up and pay that amount, go on eBay and buy it pre-loved and risk getting duped, or get something else. However, there is something about not being able to get something that makes you want it more. . .
