Hi ladies!

Just for fun (and to keep our awesome new VCA forum alive), I have some questions!

How many pieces of VCA do you wear at a time? Do you wear just one as a main statement? Or do you deck yourself out head to toe in VCA?

Also, how do you feel about mixing VCA with other designers? Any tips for us newbies?

Obviously there is no right way or wrong way to do it, I'm just curious about how you stylish gals accessorize!:smile1:

I'm a VCA newbie (and nice jewelry in general), so I only have one piece, the sweet bracelet in pink gold. I wear it with a Tiffany bead bracelet in Rubedo and want to add a Cartier baby love in pink gold to the mix.

I figure I'll get my daily wears first then expand my collection. I don't have a VCA where I live, so I plan on making detours when I take trips. I'm a big believer in seeing things in person.

For me, I like everything from a single piece to a few at a time with other designer and non-branded pieces. But not all from the same line and not matching. If I venture into earrings-matching-bracelet-matching-necklace it ages me....If I was younger I think It would matter less.

I do love VCA mixed with most everything. I wear a Love 24/7 and I wear something VCA daily.

I wear 1 or 2 pieces at a time. If I wear my onyx bracelet, it's usually stacked with a jade bangle. Then whatever earrings or necklace works with the outfit of the day. Sometimes I pair it with my Frivole ear clips. Sometimes I wear the ear clips with just my jade. I wear all my jewelry with very casual outfits but it's nice to know that VCA will always be able to match a dressy or formal outfit as well.

I wear a piece of VCA every day..typically earrings. Sometimes I will add a necklace. I don't usually match it all up...occasionally I will add the perlee bangle or wrap a 20 motif around my wrist.
I do have other branded jewelry but I tend not to wear them at the same time...I never want to appear that I am trying too hard or appear overly label conscious.

I have a Love so and I wear my VCA 5 motif with it a lot of the time! I love the two together. Occasionally I'll wear a 10 motif with it, but not often, only because I don't wear the 10-motif as much as I'd like.

Lately it's been the Frivole earclips with the carnelian 10-motif. My Alhambra pieces are both necklaces so I don't have a match yet, but I would definitely wear the carnelian bracelet when I add it to my collection. I don't know if I would do Alhambra earclips, necklace and bracelet, but that's only because I haven't seen how that would look on me.

I would think some of the lines would look just spectacular worn as a three-piece set, most especially the florals.

Thank you for all of your input, ladies! I love hearing how others wear their VCA!

I love the idea of having and wearing matching sets, even though I know it can sometimes be too much. I am not very good at "mixing things up" in a unique, stylish way. Hey, I just barely accepted the idea of having toenail polish that is a different color than my fingernail polish! I'm only 43, but sometimes my tendencies are very, very old school and conservative! I'm really trying to change that.

I agree about not wanting to look overly branded when wearing jewelry. Most of my jewelry choices are very simple, nondescript, go-with-anything classic pieces. The VCA clover, however, is one recognizable brand design I cannot resist! :-)

I'm in the same boat. I like to have matching sets, same metals, and still try to buy matching shoes and purses. I live in an area where style is very laid-back and casual and it's the only way I know how to tie an outfit together. I try to go for more subtle pieces though, so as not to make it too obvious.

I feel the same way.
I have nothing against branded jewelry and I have quite a bit of it myself. It's just that these days I feel uncomfortable carrying a kelly or a birkin with a vintage Alhambra necklace and several Hermes bracelets , with Chanel flats. Trust me, I've had all this on before and it just felt silly ..as if trying way too hard/ too brand conscious. Many here will disagree I'm sure.
As I've become older ( 40's) I prefer simplicity. A few stand out pieces just appear more chic. More effortless and less contrived.
I have the matching earrings for nearly all my vintage Alhambra necklaces ( even the frivole ) but it's more fun for me to mix it up. It takes more creativity/ style than just having everything match every time. There are occasions when I have tried this ( turquoise 20 plus the matching earrings) but before I walk out the door I find myself changing the earrings to frivole or Perlee hoops or even dismond studs. The styles are still complimentary. The frivole earrings go with everything!

One more thought: I like the idea of collecting a matching bracelet , necklace, earrings. It's just that my tendency would be to wear the bracelet and the earrings but probably not the necklace at that time.
Over the years I've collected quite a few pieces but have never chosen to collect any bracelets except for the Perlee.
I do think they are pretty and serve as great extensions to the necklaces.

I wonder how much of "obvious branding" depends on locale. Where I live, the only way to be obvious/recognizable is the blatant in-your-face monogram bags, shoes with gigantic emblems or logos, and branded jewelry. I'd only recently found out about VCA and only know one person here who knows what it is (and she's from back east, in design, and cool in general).

I rarely see the more common Cartier pieces or bags that are recognizable to a premier design house without a large logo (Givenchy, BV, Celine, etc.). It's not ubiquitous here and shopping options are limited, so when it does pop-up, it doesn't seem like someone's trying too hard. They simply are wearing things they picked up while on a trip.

I live in a major city where just about anything is easily attainable shopping wise. Most people probably don't recognize many of the labels or would even care. I was just expressing my comfort level which is to keep things pretty simple.

I get it. I'm still trying to figure out my personal style, especially when it comes jewelry, so like finding out everyone's perspectives. I want to build a well-curated collection and buy intelligently, but I'm in the beginner stages of how to do that and look put together.

There are a few great threads in the jewelry section that might help. Ultimately I think you just need to wear what makes your ❤️ feel happy. Whatever that is. You will know it when you see it. It took me a long time to discover VCA which definitely makes my heart sing!!
Enjoy the process 😊
