This thread makes me realize my addiction is real, I need to work on Chanel purse peace. Went crazy in the last few years because I knew the prices would get crazy
But so far 32 - also need to add I cant find 2 of them and this made me realize I have too many bags and I want to downsize

I started this year with zero Chanel bags. I now have an addiction and probably need an intervention. I actually like Chloe maybe even more than Chanel though so I probably will not be getting any more Chanel this year.

How did the sales go? If you don’t mind me asking? Did you get pretty much what you paid for them? Did you make money? Did you get less? Where did you sell them through? I was looking to sell some of mine, but I really didn’t see the value in selling them versus just keeping them new in their boxes. lol.
I don't mind at all! I sold my bags privately to friends and family. I bought my bags before COVID (around $5-6k) and I sold them for around $7-8k so I was able to make a profit. They were mostly colorful small or medium classic flaps which were all used but in perfect shape and I still had the original packaging and receipt.
I held on to them for as long as I could thinking I would reach for them but they've been collecting dust for years and were becoming an eye sore. It just felt like a waste to keep them on display in my closet when someone else could be enjoying them!

Omg I am in your exact situation or your prior situation. I have so many and I will not use them. It’s hard to let them go on the resale sites because you lose money on them right now. I’m sure in a few years they will go up. But my dilemma is the same as yours. They are just sitting there. I had a white Gucci bag that oxidized (discolored under the flap) and it scared me. I told my SA and she said oh yeah Chanel bags will potentially do that also. It Terrified me because I have a bunch of white ones that I have never touched. And now all I can think about is how no one will get to enjoy them , and then be potentially ruined one day due to oxidation. Anyway, I did end up selling one (and only one) to family and I actually did make money because he was going to buy an even more expensive one that wasn’t the exact one his wife wanted, when mine was, so he just gave me what he would’ve bought the other one for. And I was so happy it was going to go to somebody that would enjoy it.

- Red mini reissue (I don’t remember what year, so far the only preowned in my Chanel collection)

Would love to add a mini classic in lambskin, a Deauville or C22, and something blue to my collection!

Got my wife her 6th a white 22 with rainbow hardware. I oroginally counted 4 but forgot her very first chanel patent tote she had for most of last year. This year i have been trying to get her one.to compliment each color she wears plus totally forgot about her card holder and coin.purse which although arent bags i think should count. She has the iridescent lilac/silver card holder and a patent black coin purse.
