How long have you had you Cartier Love Bracelet?

Trust me, I know!! I got mine awhile ago, but started wearing one for the first time a few days ago. The first scratch was like a knife in the heart, the second was torture, and now there are so many fine marks, I've lost count! Oh well. It's still shiny and beautiful and all MINE! :p
Just wear it and love it and enjoy it. If I can do it (and I'm about as OCD about perfection as you can get!!), anyone can! :p

I have been wearing a love bracelet forever. My folks bought me the YG when I went to college and DH replaced that one with the WG w/ diamonds when we got married. Without divulging the exact number of years -- I would venture to say I probably have been wearing one for more years than the age of some of my fellow TPFers who are posting on this thread... It is a permanent part of my body!

Purse -- you will quickly get over the scratches. You have to. I wear mine with a watch and another bracelet which give it quite a beating. So, I get it re-rhodiumed every two years (Cartier discourages doing it more often). It looks brand new when I pick it up. Its almost too shiny... Then I wear it a few weeks, it gets scratched - either way, it always looks great! Just enjoy it!!

Yes I find myself constantly looking for the first scratch..my SO must think I'm crazy haha..I know it's inevitable..and there seems to be small marks already..but it's just soooo nice and new and shiny!! Shame that we can't plate it or something like the WG..and can only polish which means a layer of it will be polished away!

Hi girls! I'm still deciding on getting a Love, and I thought it'd be fun to see how long tPFers have had theirs on! :graucho:

I'd love this to be a piece that I'd eventually pass on...but I'm afraid that I would take it off/get bored of it before then. (Though I've been wanting one for the past 6 years...I'd guess I'd stay in LOVE!)

So....how long have you been in love with your Cartier love?

I had my first LOVE bracelet (WG w/4 diamonds) since 2009. Trust me, you will NEVER get bored wearing it. Scratches are unavoidable but you will get used to it :giggles: I will be getting my second LOVE bracelet this weekend, the RG w/4 diamonds :yahoo:

Been wearing mine for 3 years. I have the rg. It does have a few scratches and scuffs but that makes it personal to me. When my children inherit it, it will bear the scars from my life. I haven't had problems with it fading as some on here appear to have had. I love rose gold.

I got my first Love bracelet (WG with 4 diamonds) for Valentine's Day, so been wearing it for two days. I've already put a tiny scratch on the bottom of it! It's like getting the first ding on a new car; I was devastated, but I think future scratches will be less traumatic, lol!

i have been wearing my rose gold with diamonds and white gold everyday since i got them..and from time to time i add my third one :)..i believe it is a classic..and it will never go out of style in my opinion..

i am also a proud newbie owner of the WG and I have been lusting after it for years and finally took the plunge. I agree that it is a timeless piece. That was one reason for my wait.....to see if it was a fade. It seems stronger than ever and just as classy. Every time I look at it I love it more. I just wear it occasionally but when I do my face shines just as bright :smile1:
