I love, love, love the saffiano leather! Be sure and get the spray coating for it though to avoid color transfer!
Is this spray coating an item that MK sells in stores, or is it an after market product?
My gray Selma has held up well however the top of the bag is wiggly and no longer straight which bugs me.
That would bug me too! I have been looking at selma myself. I bought a different bag since I started the thread, but I am back looking at them again.Do you think it's because of the top handles or the shoulder strap? I'm wondering which one causes the wiggly top, I've also seen this on eBay. I considered purchasing the medium Selma (I'd only be using the top handles) but held back because of that.

It's the treatment process. I believe saffiano leather was developed by Prada. It is scratch, water, and stain resistant. I've noticed with some of the pebbled leather MK bags that they start to look very worn once they've been used for a while due to normal weather-related wear and tear. Saffiano leather is almost indestructible and thus very low maintenance. I love it.Can someon explain what the saffiano leather is? Is it cut from a better cow or something, or is it a treatment process.. I have no idea. It looks kind of hard and plasticy if I'm honest. It doesn't have a soft supple feel at all like most high end leathers.
