I get what you mean. I feel like I'm sometimes judged by having a nice bag but on the other hand I do also love it when people admire them. The feeling of making a new purchase makes me feel excited and when I first wear it I'm nervous & super careful but after a few outings I feel like I can begin to truly enjoy my bags x

"Put together." I took my big ocean blue leather tote out for the first time yesterday. I wore a simple outfit: subtle graphic tee, jeans and boots, everything fit well and looked clean and polished. Also did hair & makeup. The bag was big, but the perfect size to hold my jacket so that I didn't have to carry it separately.

I got one compliment on the bag, lots of attention from SAs, and was asked several times if I lost weight! (I hadn't. Must have been the jeans. Or maybe the big bag!)

This may sound odd, but I feel prepared for any occasion. I have such a diverse collection I feel like I can dress appropriately for anything. I don't feel guilty as my collection is very well rounded.

I feel happy and elated but guilty at the same time, I know that I can afford to buy nice things for myself and realistically shouldn't feel bad about it but I do feel kind of frivolous at the same time. I also hope no one notices them as fear being judged and the dreaded question of how much it cost!

My bags make me happy!! I never feel guilty because I never spend beyond my means. I don't own any premium designer bags because I don't like paying to advertise for an already rich company. I'm happiest when I find a great quality bag for a great price. I love getting compliments. I love when i catch someone staring at my bag trying to figure out what kind of bag it is. I also love the smell of leather!

My bags make me feel put together and glamorous. I would feel naked and incomplete without them. In a way they are like my security blanket. Different bags evoke different feelings like a chanel or hermes make me feel classic, but when I wear my Chloe's or Celine's I feel more laid back.

Some bags make me feel elegant and timeless. Some funky and "cool". I recently picked up a small fuschia leather tote that makes me feel downright giddy! :D

Sometimes they make me feel frustrated because there is always something that could be improved. I have six daytime bags and two evening bags and I feel like 'this one would be perfect if it was a bit larger, that one would be perfect if it had a D-ring to attach my keys, the other one would be perfect if it was a bit smaller' and so on.

One thing I don't like is to stand out too much. I carry my LV around Toronto and don't feel like people are staring because I see a lot of other LV and other designer bags. But a couple of years ago we went to the east coast of Canada and I was the only one around with anything designer (Coach). I felt so self-conscious I went into Winners and bought a Nine West bag to finish out the trip!

I'm enjoying reading all of your responses. I see a lot of people's bags make their outfits feel complete. I totally agree. I think a bag can dress up, dress down an outfit so easily. A pop of colour from your bag can totally transform a dull outfit.
