You really shouldn't be playing fashion police if you can't tell the difference between fake and real."
Depends on how they ask me. If it's in that "SO how much did THIS bag cost?" sneer (aka How much money did you waste?) I get snotty about it -"Oh, only $XXXX, I'm thinking about getting it in another color as well". Men never ask. It's always the women. I think most women know the price range of nice bags but they just want to rub it in your face that they think you are stupid or frivolous. I also hate the ones who assume that your purses are fake. My response to that is "You really shouldn't be playing fashion police if you can't tell the difference between fake and real." That usually shuts them up.
Now,
if it's genuine interest then I'll tell them and direct them as to where to buy the bag.

Most of my bags are designers they have never heard of so they just assume it is cheap.Depends on how they ask me.
