I'm curious what you ladies do (if anything) to prevent losing your rings. A good friend of mine advised me to "never take the ring off... ever." She wears it to do everything from showering, dishes to sleeping. Her theory is that as long as she never takes it off, she'll never have to remember to put it back on.

Any other ideas?

Make sure your ring is sized & fits you properly, of course! That will help a lot!!
I have a ring dish by the kitchen sink for when I do dishes (tho I have to brag, my DH usually gladly does the dishes). It matches our china & I love it!
I take mine off when I shower but usually just leave them on the sink ledge. We have a drain guard so I don't worry about it getting lost.
I found when we first got engaged I wasn't use to wearing rings so it felt funny to have the ring on. But now I'm use to it and I think that helps it stay on, does that make sense?? lol

If mine is not on my finger it's in my ring box in the makeup bag that specifically holds my ring box. It's NEVER put anywhere but those two places (ring box or finger)

ETA:
I only wear my rings during the day to work, out shopping, or out out. I don't wear them normally at home unless Im at home between errands. I NEVER wear them shopping, while cooking, working with my hands and usually not even when traveling on the plane (I am a FREAK)

I saw a girl lose her E-Ring while traveling on a plane once! She was passing an empty cup to the flight attendant and the ring slipped off during the pass. Poor thing. She did eventually find it on the floor. Crazy! :wtf:

I actually take my ring off all the time...I'm still not used to wearing a ring. :shame:

When I'm at home, I actually don't wear it because one night, I accidentally scratched my face. It usually sits in its ring box.

As much as I love my gorgeous ring, I almost never wear it b/c I'm afraid of losing it. It almost always stays in my jewelry box unless I'm getting dressed up to go out.

Make sure your ring is property fitted, to where it doesn't slide around too much. I take my rings off when I get home & before applying lotion on. I have a ring cone.. that I put it on located on my dresser.

I also get it steam cleaned & inspected ever month or 2 but never over 6 to keep the warranty up to date.

I wear mine all the time, but I also have it insured so that I don't worry. Actually now I have an insurance policy that covers the jewelry I wear day to day and my bags! Love it. Makes traveling more fun not to worry about leaving something designer in the hotel room.

My ring is on my finger at work, while shopping, etc. But first thing I do when I get home is place it in my jewelry armoire. It's either there or on my finger, I never take it off and just leave it anywhere.

i don't wear mine so i guess that prevents me from losing it...

i'm abroad doing my master (we came here right after engagement) but i couldn't bare the thought of losing my ering so i keep it in the safe back home

my hubbie wears his though, my mom (who made the ering for my hubbie also) made a matching one for me so i could wear it here as it's not too blingy (unlike my ering haha) cuz it's just a nice diamond band....

still, it (the band) was gone -_-" somehow my stupid dumb luck lost it!!

so i was sad but i guess it was good i didn't wear my real ering :)

ps. i wish this thread was started sooner....maybe if i read this before i wouldn't have lost my band :(
