How do you open a stuck OPI bottle?

I wanted to change my nail color, only to find that my perfect summer pink won't open! Then I freaked out and checked my other bottles, and four of them are totally stuck. ush:

I tried the rubber band method (wrapping rubber bands around the container for more grip) and the bottle gripper method, to no avail.

Are there any other methods I can use?

LOL. I asked DH to do the opening with both the rubber bands and the grips. I think I just had way too much polish caked on the outside of the rim. He's really strong, I promise!

lol, ummm maybe try some pliers(sp?)? Or try soaking the top in some polish remover?

I had one stuck and after trying lots of ways of opening it I ran it under hot water and I was able to open it.

Hahaha...I did the same just last night!! It keeps happening to my OPI polishes. Maybe it has to do with certain chemicals in the nail polish? It doesn't seem to happen with other brands I use.

Run them under hot water, then clean the top with polish remover and rub the top with some vasaline it will help with the sticking.

Ditto the hot water suggestion. Mine are always stuck...lack of use, maybe...
Hot water works for me.

When the muscles aren't around I use the hot water method though. I just run the cap under steaming HOT water for 30 seconds or so and use a towel or washcloth to dry and open the bottle. Works everytime. Like Ladybug mentioned, I also clean the rim with polish remover so it doesn't happen again

when you do get it open clean the rim with nail polish remover to get all that polish off the rim

You may want to soak a cotton ball with remover and clean the inside of the top (where the brush is located). Chances are, if your bottle is stuck, the polish leaked into it and dried.

TO make sure it doesn't happen again I always take a Orange stick( one of the wooden sticks) and wrap some cotton around the tip and soak it in nail polish remover , then I clean out any polish that is stuck around the thread of the bottle , after that is cleaned take some cuticle oil and carefully wipe the neck and the top of the bottle with the oil this will keep the top from sticking again , I have that problem all the time
