How do you decide which bag from your wish-list to buy first?

I've*often* (not always) found if I bought on impulse or settled for the next best thing I regretted it. That's why I stopped and carefully considered what was on my HG list and bought them on needs/desire basis. I sold bags I did not love that much in comparison and now happy and content with my collection.
Ask me this question on jewellery now... there is a long way to go!

Also the rare factor is very important, like if a desirable bag is there in front of my eyes and it was originally in my wish list and there aren't many of it , then I would consider buying on the spot

Bump. I have a nice to have list, and I look out for sales or discounts. The one that goes on sale first is my first choice.

I tend to buy on impulse (with lots of intense researching), with the impetus being a sale. So far, my purchases have worked out for me so I'm thankful.

I just started my collection a year ago and this is a really helpful thread! I have already sold two bags that I bought on impulse and liked but weren't *exactly* what I wanted. I'm now more interested in buying less bags that have been on my wishlist for longer. I do have one impulse buy I don't regret and that is because it was a rare bag (which is the only reason it wasn't on my official wishlist) that I love and know I won't be able to find again.

I have been buying pre loved as of late and usually buy what comes up first and in the best condition. I don't do eBay anymore and prefer to buy from fashionphile and yoogies since they have really amazing return/ buy back policies
