Good points raised! For me, its easy since I am a vegetarian. I sold all my caviar Chanel bags, even though I like them a lot and do wear them. I do miss a few of them at times, but get over it very quickly.
I only keep a Chanel fabric bag. I do not wear it at all when I have the caviar bags. But after selling them away, I wear the Chanel fabric bag all the time.
I began to develop love for this one and only bag which I never do as I have too many bags back them (I have a total of 5 back then, to me its many). Till now I have absolutely no regrets in selling them as I embrace a minimalist lifestyle.
I realised the lesser I have, the more I will love, and the happier I am with the only piece of Chanel that I owned.
