How do I remove the emblem from my Louis Vuitton Galliera?

So much cheaper than I expected! We gifted my MIL a Galleria a few Christmases ago and the plate looks like complete crap now. For that price I may send it off to get replaced. Anybody know if there are protectors for the plate? I saw Handbag Haven has a plate cover for the Eva but I don't see one for the Galleria.

You are very lucky. I'm surprised they did not examine your bag and state that it was from "normal wear and tear" and refuse to offer a repair. It seems like alot of other customers get dismissed, but I'm glad to hear you were successful. Can I ask if you are in the USA? I'm guessing you are not.

Mail it into LV. I believe the plate replace cost will run you less that what you are about to pay a cobbler to do. I can't remember where I saw it on here but I want to say it was somewhere between $60-$100.

It doesn't matter if it's from wear and tear as the customer pays. Just like when handles on leather bags go bad after years of use and you can get the leather replaced. It's only if you say you want it replaced for free then LV will say no as it's wear and tear not a defect.

That's fantastic that LV were able to help and for such a reasonable fee. I bet you're glad you didn't use that cobbler!

It's also good to hear that they are still able to replace a plate like this on a discontinued bag.

Alright guys, final update here. The service and repair is done - surprisingly fast compared to the estimation they gave. Picked up the bag today - I'm really impressed with LV tbh. They completely replaced the emblem and even left a plastic protection cover on the new emblem - they also included a new dustbag, for no extra charge.

And for those wondering, the store is Louis Vuitton in Oslo, Norway. Im really happy how this turned out, way beyond my original expectations. My mother is also happy, which is the most important.

Thanks to everyone suggesting to take it to LV. Turned out great with a total cost of 55 USD.
