This is the knot that some are curious to know how it's tied

As intricate as it might seem, it's actually super easy! In 3 steps you get a great outcome.

1. Fold your scarf like this (a piece of paper makes it easier to demonstrate)

2. Wrap it around your neck

3. I secured it with a trio scarf ring. But you can use any other scarf rings you prefer

Voila!

You didn't expect it to be so easy, did you ;)

U R Brilliant XXX!

To make this effect, just fold it diagonally instead.

Voila!!

(I have to confess this knot was inspired by a book I was reading last night about the presentation of the sushi clam from a very well-known Japanese master sushi chef. Totally unrelated @.@|||, but... Well, I love the outcome! :D :D :D )

Thank you for teaching us another nice knot. But can you please elaborate the last steps a bit further?
How did yo tie the final knot? Does it stay during the day or does it require retying occasionally?

My pleasure to share. :) The final knot stayed put throughout the day. What I did was I wrap the shorter end around the longer one, pulled over the wrap then tucked it into the wrap-around on the back. It's quite secure that way. Kind of like how men tie their ties. I hope it makes sense.

Aaaa , like a men's tie, that makes sense!
I played around with my silks, I think I made it (with a 90, so it looks differently).
Then I came up with a way to make it easier: Just held the silk up an one corner, tied a simple knot in that corner, put it around my neck and pulled the longer side through it (kind of like a very asymmetric variation of lanit's favourite knot).

Next I kept playing and wrapped the long tail around my neck and pulled the corner through the first loop and got some kind of cowl. Might be nice when temperatures drop.

I had lots of fun using a day off for playing with my silks, thanks for teaching us Prof. Cavalla :smartass:

OMG- do you know what you folded it into, a paper airline! That is so cute! I love how you tie your silks. I only have 90s. Could you possibly post modeling pics of how the fan and paper-airplane knots look with 90s please? Thanks for your valuable instructions :)!
