I agree, definitely too large for everyday, but I'll take it out when I have social events.

OMG--pix please! I love a huge cocktail ring. If they arent big enough and oversize then I think they actually dont work.........dramatic should be dramatic!.

Cocktail rings are often meant to be flashy so I don't think there's any rule about what's too big. Personally I find main stones over maybe 10 cts are too big for my hand so I try to keep that number in my head when I drool over pretty rings I want to buy

I think it's gorgeous and dramatic...exactly as it should be!
I have a diamond panther ring with a 20ct amethyst in the mouth. Way over the top but very unique. Definately a conversation piece.
