This is literally my first Chanel bag. My husband decided to gift me a Chanel for my birthday in August and since then I started researching which bag I would want, then I found the Kelly and absolutely fell in love with the vintage feels, price tag, and lack of attainablity. I reached out to a few Sales Associates and they basically told me that it is too hard to come by, they have a waitlist etc. I live in nyc, and eventually found the nano size but honestly it was so tiny and looked quite comical on me. Then today on drop day I dropped by 3 stores in nyc and noticed the nano version. I asked the sales associate there, by any chance do you have the mini size and he said, "oh do you mean this?" And literally I was shocked. I purchased it on spot. They only received one today and I was the lucky customer to find it!! Anyways, I feel like I'm on cloud nine. Totally the best first Chanel ever.

Yikes. Although this is not my style, it sucks to long for a bag and not be able to get it.
Have you considered the Hermes Mini Kelly? I know it's different, but they are both very cute.

I actually was thinking a good sub for the Chanel Kelly would be the Lady Dior. It is a similar price point and aesthetic. I actually prefer the Dior, but the workers treatment investigation has any shopping for me on pause. If I can't find the Chanel Kelly, then I'll wait until Dior cleans up their act and then maybe buy preloved.

Hiya, I actually found it quite difficult to acquire a Chanel Kelly. I never got offered one even though I was constantly checking with 2 of my usual SAs. I find that Chanel SAs atleast in my experience and that city that I'm based in, are not loyal, friendly or helpful. I so far have purchased 4 Chanel bags (2 classic minis, 1 classic flap and 1 top handle) but acquiring each of those was a strenuous task. Even though I enjoy using these bags and never usually buy for resale purposes, my shopping experience has been far from fun and relaxing. Good luck to those who are looking to secure their dream pieces!

Congrats 🎊 I got the beige one from the latest collection 25C , the white one is stunning but I do have a white classic flap so I opted for the beige. The light green was stunning as well. But it is still very difficult to get ! My SA reserved it for me and I was at 10:00 am there . All the bags were sold before 1:00 pm as my SA told later

I take my words back. I'm happy to report I was able to secure a mini shopping bag in black, exactly the one I wanted! I had great luck as I am currently abroad and immediately connected with an SA at the Chanel store. She was super kind and helpful. She informed me that it was a long shot as I have no purchase history in the country and that the wishlist for this particular bag is long! Nonetheless, few days later I get a surprise call and here it was.
I'm over the moon as I've wanted this bag for well over a year and no SA back home could deliver.
I'll suggest keep checking with you boutique and don't give up. Surprisingly this SA told me this bag isn't coming back but I'm sure I've heard that before too, yet here we are.

Yeah, I know. Sometimes we have better luck overseas. Which is why I love buying Chanel NOT in my local boutique. :graucho: :biggrin: :biggrin:
