On my first trip to New York City one of my must places to see was the House of Coach flagship store on 5th Ave. Luckily, it was a 10 minute walk from our hotel. I wanted to see the TRex made from all the bags and get one of the skyline New York City hangtags. I admired all the vintage bags they had on display and watched the resident artisan customize a bag upstairs. I asked about the NYC hangtags and they gave me one of each color for free and I got another hangtag I brought along monogrammed with my initials and an unicorn for free.20170828_170337.jpg 20170828_170519.jpg 20170901_231321.jpg 20170901_231327.jpg

Wow, I would love to see that! Are those vintage bags behind glass, or can you just go up and touch them? I see a few I own, and more I'd like to own.

They are not behind glass, but they are along a wall on the stairwell between the 1st and 2nd floor (the store is 3 stories) and there is no way you can reach most of them.

If you look at this the top of the TRex picture you can see the customization/repair area on the second floor with all the jars of hardware and a wall with spools of every single color thread they use. The even have pieces of leather hanging to make repairs on stuff.

Thanks for all the pix! That T-Rex is AWESOME! Super cool they gave you hangtags. Looks like it would be a fun store to go in and browse, esp with all the vintage bags on display.

After discovering Coach last fall, I've been on a bit of a binge that culminated in two visits to Coach House over the weekend.

I bought a black Dinky (although I already have a black Dinky 24) so I could have it personalized with pink tea roses. I've been kicking myself for missing the black and pink tea rose Rogue, and this definitely helped. My daughter and I had a lot of fun picking the tea roses, rivets and placements. They were very patient as we did; all in all it probably took about an hour from start to finish.

I went back the next day and bought the small Cherry wallet. I had the inside monogrammed with my initials and the Statue of Liberty. I love both!

I didn't know about the skyline tags or I would definitely have asked for one. The service was great and the SAs were very friendly. :)

I'll have to take and post some pics of my purchases once I figure out how; this is my first post on the board.

Hope I'm not spamming the thread, but since I took Rexy from the other side, I thought some might be interested in a different view.

Nice dinky and cool photo. That dino is awesome. You're not spamming, at all. We love photos here and the more the better. I've never been annoyed by seeing many photos from all angles / details - I actually appreciate it :)
