Well, this part of the purse forum is really dead these days. I just recently bought a Kooba Johnnie from Zappos in Navy and I am excited all over again for this brand. I think they are making a comeback....slowly....but I think they are getting good again. I am just going to throw this out there to see if there is anyone still interested enough to answer my question, which is, does anyone own a Johnnie in Berry or Sienna? I think I am going to get another one, but I am undecided about the color. I like shopping with Zappos, so I was hoping if anyone else did, was the color pretty true to what is depicted? Hope someone out there is wearing their Kooba in good health!!;) I am waiting for a pretty good sale, too.

I love zappos 2. I like the overnight shipping and free returns and i got 1yr 2 return it. I recently been looking at koobas i like the style. I dont have any. Where are they made? How is the quality? Were they popular a long time ago? I wonder if theyre makin a comeback. I love the blue in the jonnie

I will post a very slouchy picture later today, clydekiwi.

I am the proud owner of two older style Koobas (Sienna and Jessie) that I bought probably in 2006 or 2007 or so, when they were popular. I will never give them up. The Koobas from about 3 years or 4 years ago just went downhill so I sadly stayed away. I recently came across the Johnnie and I really liked the way it looked and when I received it, I was really pleasantly surprised. The lining is a dark brown cotton twill, but it still is nice. Their leather has made a comeback, in my opinion. It is not as thick as it once was, but it still is substantial and very, very soft. I am going to get another one, and I am watching one on Zappos in Berry and Sienna. The Sienna is not on sale, but the Berry is. I could go for both colors, but I will sit tight to see if the Sienna happens to go on sale. If you are familiar with Linea Pelle, the leather is just about the same softness in their Dylan style or the older Kooba Lola. Yeah....if you love slouchy, the Johnnie is right up there. Oh....and no problem with strap slippage off your shoulder, either.

Slouchy! I decided to go ahead an order the Ginger Johnnie for $249 on sale at Zappos. That would make two of the same purse, which means it is a great deal for that price. Just about half off the original. I would be happy to share my new enthusiasm with former and new Kooba owners!

Nice.....I like the Jonny style. I'd love to find a tan one for a good price. I saw the tan at Nordstroms a long time ago. It's almost like camel but darker -kind of a luggage color.
I've seen Jonny bags at NR and Off 5th but never in the color I want.
Yours is pretty. Congrats.

Thank you! I got a Ginger one from Zappos for their sale price of $249. When I opened the box, it was more of a luggage color than the orangy color that was shown, so that was a big plus. There may be another one left, if you are interested. I love mine. Just love it.

interesting that they made ginger and tan - two similar colors
thanks for the tip but right now I'm obsessing on some RM bags
Maybe some day I'll come across a Jonnie at NR in the color I want (probably not but you never know)
I actually found one that was marked down really low (under $200) and bought it. But it was the wrong color (some shade of purple) so I returned it.

Good luck, sdkitty, with your RM quest! I think these two Koobas will hold me for a while. I would be interested to know if anyone else out there bought anything recently and what they felt about it.

I love Jonnie but I did not like any of the colors. The style is great was the leather was a bit too smooth for me in the available colors. nordstrom Rack here in DC area has almost all colors for about $270.

I love Cally style in Kooba. I ll take pics sometime.

Waaaah! I love that berry color, but I think even for that fantastic price three Johnnies is a bit much for me. Go for it....I know you will love it.

I just checked....I think the wineberry is gone. All they had left was black. Hope you got it!
