Hi All - Does the Halzan have an adjustable strap? Thank you!
It's adjustable in that you can shorten it from cross-body length to shoulder or short shoulder carry. (The increments are rather large but you could have another hole punched if you want just an inch or two shorter.)

Hi Halzan lovers, I’m an H newbie and am really hoping that I can get a Halzan 25, but it almost seems impossible to buy one since on H website it’s gone as soon as it’s up (I think I have seen it a couple of times and of course by the time I saw it it’s out of stock…). And the store also doesn’t really have it in stock the few time that I went in. For these non-B, K, C bags that are still popular, is it basically impossible for newbie to buy them?

Anyone has any insight/info?

I think others have better intel, I have seen Halzan 25 and 30 few times on H.com. It is snapped up quickly, if you live close to H store, I think it’s worth making an appointment to check out the store (maybe buy a small item like shoes) and get on a list with your SA. If you don’t live nearby, maybe a call into H store and request to speak to SA who can add you and your wish item.
I told my SA last year, I waited few months (had to wait way longer for Evelyn TPM) and was told Halzan in 25 of my color choice came in and I rushed to pick it up.
I think it’s gained popularity, but I believe it is still available, hope you keep trying and score one soon.

Just want to share fun pictures of how can some one free up halzan 25. I love the Ebene color against the purple and red orange twilly. The twilly ring is just enough metal to add on Halzan in my opinion. Thanks for letting me share!

I just got my third Hermès bag, my very first Halzan in Rouge Casaque! It’s so beautiful though I bought it almost a week ago and still haven’t taken it out of the box.

I’m just wondering, is the smooth leather on the flap prone to scratches? I was looking through this thread and see that some models, or maybe just older ones, came with an unlined interior and so making that flap made of suede, not swift leather. How does it wear? I’m nervous that my bracelet or nails or even keys will rub against it and make marks. I know bags are meant to be used, just want to know how tough it is. The bag is Clemence and pretty sure the different/smooth leather flappy part is swift.

Congrats on your new Halzan! I’ve had my first Halzan, a 31 noir, since summer of 2019. I used it almost exclusively from fall 2019 to Covid lockdown in March 2020. During this time, I was not careful with it. It was exposed to some of the more brutal seasonal elements. I guess I’m trying to say - just use it! Yes, it will show a little wear and tear. There’s no escaping that. But any accidental scratch or inadvertent rubbing will not show dramatically. If anything, you’ll probably notice only a faint smudge. What you do need to be careful about is the type of hand moisturizer used. This can mark the leather as evidenced in my pic below (hey, it was winter and I tend to use a heavier hand creme ). More than any mark made by a nail, bracelet or watch, hand moisturizer can prevent you from having a blemish free interior flap!

Thank you so much for this info and advice!!! It’s funny actually, I used to have hand cream in my bag at all times, but ever since the pandemic, I pretty much skip the cream and just bring hand sanitizer  (in a ziplock, of course, because nobody has time for sanitizer explosions in their bag:panic:)

I got my Halzan last fall and have been really impressed with how good it still looks as this bag gets carried and worn a lot of different ways. I have noticed that the leather is getting a slightly more relaxed feel but it's holding its shape. I keep it stuffed when stored. And haven't had any marks on the smooth flap at all! I really love this bag.

Thanks for for sharing! What do you use the stuff the bag when stored? I have 2 Evelynes but I don’t do anything special with those.

Wondering tips on how to store the halzan, does anyone take the strap off? I’ve been babying it and storing in the dust bag, but not sure that’s necessary.
I use Container Store bag pillows in all my bags. My Halzan 31 gets two small ones, the strap pulled through to inside (but not detached), and original felt tucked in between buckle and flap (which I started doing after I noticed a dent forming). Whole thing is in dustbag stored upright.

Hmm my Halzan didn’t come with the felt! Also could u post a link to the bag pillows? I can’t find it on container store’s website when searching. Thanks!!!

edit- found it! Do you mean two of the mini size? I see they come in mini, medium, and large

It’s ok if no felt, just tuck a crease of the dust bag fabric in there.

Yes mini size. Medium is good for bolide/K 30-35 cm bags. The Large is giant more like a briefcase size.
