Hi cxflygirl, Japan H shops have offered me Birkins during my trips there, but of course there is no guarantee that they would offer the exact one that you are looking for. As for Paris, I am not sure about the chance to score one by walk in.

Luvspa thanks for the advice.. I am planning a trip to Tokyo for Jan now just to see if I can score a bag! Would a second hand one be cheaper in Tokyo compared to HK just in case I can't get one via Hermes directly>

I have just been offered a Birkin by H however a cassis in purple is that the same as an Iris? otherwise other option is a mykonos... I am sooooo excited but want to make sure its the right purple.

What a good news, cxflygirl! Just go to the H shop and take a look. Maybe they have sth like a belt or wallet in Iris for you make the comparison. Remember to post your b when you get it! :graucho:

Japan costs around 30% more than in HK.. Some people did mention seeing birkin in Osaka.. If you prepare to pay for resellers, better get for Japan. The H SA are nice enough to check stocks for you.

Congrats! Cassis is lovely colour, however I want to ask u that u order cassis in Togo for sure? I m curious about this colour, as there aren't many discussion on this colour! So far, I thought I only heard of it available in fjord!!! So it does come in Togo??
Can I also ask if u place order in Japan? Hk?

I was told its a togo. I placed the order in the US. My order confirmation is a Togo and I am not getting it via a reseller.

Cassis is a deep rich burgundy purple, almost like raisin and not as bright as Iris. They also make Garden Party in this color.

It is true that all buying on podium and RAC (special orders) are placed in Jan and July. I think that that Cassis birkin must has been already purchased by the US store and is arriving in time for the holidays. Cxlflygirl was lucky to be offered it so that makes the wait time so much shorter.

Cxlflygirl, which US store did you shop ? Can you share ?

Will post a pic once I get this bag. I order this bag via a good friend from the US he is stylist and a birkin collector and managed to get me one via H directly.

Will let you know which shop I got it from once I get this bag. I had to ask for a major favor in getting this bag thru my friend so don't want to post it just yet. Will send you a private message as to which store once i get this bag.
