Hey guys, how do you guys feel about outlet handbags ?

Definitely important to realize it's not always the same level of quality.
But sometimes, you can find good pieces .

Ohh yeah I’m perfectly aware of it, I know since they sale at lower price the quality will suffer a bit or will have less expensive materials.
i know Kate spade in many of their retail bags use just leather for the whole bag meanwhile for its outlet counterpart inside they go with lining.
the inside of retail Coach bags are suede meanwhile coach outlet uses lining.

i definitely know what I’m getting.
you Know the hate for outlets barley comes from YouTubers but from real professional networks who make their capsules.

i felt more disdain for outlets from this

than your regular YouTuber who tell you the truth It’s clearly not the same but many of their products are definitely worth buying.

I've got 2 Kate Spade bags from the outlet and they still look pretty much brand new! Granted I don't use them everyday, and when I do, I tend to be quite careful with my bags. So in terms of quality, I don't find them to be inferior, but it could depend on the style of the bag. The two I got are in saffiano leather so the durability has been amazing!

I can't really tell the difference between outlet vs department store. If you really like the brand you'll probably know the differences, but for me the outlet items are just as good as store ones for the non-lux brands. I have Coach and Kate Spade outlet stuff and there's nothing wrong with the quality.

For the most part, I could feel bags at the outlet stores tend to be lesser quality (e.g. the feel of the leather, zipper etc.). However, I am not surprised, you get what you pay for sort of thing. I don't own any bags from the outlet, but I did recently order a pair of boots from the Stuart Weitzman outlet store. I'll be picking them up tomorrow. Let's see if the quality is different from the SW retail stores. Back to buying bags from the outlet store, nothing wrong with this as long as it meets your needs .

My big issue with the outlets is still the bogus "msrp" or "compare to" prices they put on tags so you think you're getting a deal, when the bag was made to sell at the price you're paying. The only actual "deals" are when you can find a discontinued style or color in a full-line retail bag there but those are now few and far between - and the brands have caught on as well, making off-price outlet versions of former full price line styles.

I don't mind outlet bags. I tend to buy all of my Kate Spade and Coach wallets and slgs through their outlet stores instead of FP. I usually avoid buying their bags unless it is really cheap, though. Like under $100 at most.

There is a huge deal with outlet malls and products.?

but has anyone here bought a made for outlet handbag and which was your experience ?
I see a lot of hate on all internet for outlets like it’s a scam or is lying to all of us.
but my Kate Spade i got a few months ago is working great for me, I know it’s not the same as retail but I think the hate for outlet products is quite unfair.

i think outlets products Can be really good options when you look for something in particular or a very specific style, when I bought my bag On my latest trip to MiamI I wanted so bad quilted chain bag, a sort of Chanel style bag and all the bags I found at the regular mall were on the 300s nothing less so buying at the outlet was my solution for what I was looking for.
I have had the best luck with outlets. More bang for your buck..why not!

While I think overall the disparities in quality between outlet and retail is greater than it used to be, you can still find great outlet bags. I had been mulling a pre-loved Chanel top handle bag, so I bought a Coach Marlie top handle first just to see if I’d like carrying the style. I LOVE it. The Marlie is currently my most used bag, and I don’t even want the Chanel anymore. And I got it for under $200. So yes, you can still find outlet gems.

Which material did you get your marlie in? I’m worried about the flap with the wrinkles worsening over time. The wrinkles comes from when you open the flap and the most curved part then creases!! Peppled leather shouldn’t have this problem but the quilt/smooth leather one does

Mine is the smooth quilted leather. I can see it wrinkle a bit when it's open, but as soon as I close it it looks totally smooth. No creases so far, and I've used it fairly frequently this fall and winter. Fingers crossed!

I’m so happy to hear this!!

Anyone else have creasing issues? Don’t know whether to keep mine! See the creases after opening?
