I tend to post a collage of my sightings but this one deserves its own post, a Halzan in what appears to my eye, Jaune Poussin (mini I believe?) out in Serengeti, a proper wildlife sighting!

I own two Halzan Minis, and I can attest to the fact that they are the perfect travel bag, wherever you may go.
I’m always confounded and amazed when I see pics of people traveling/sightseeing with mini bags - do you (or DH) carry a supplemental tote with water, sunscreen, snacks etc? Or is it just me that’s a pack mule? Much as I want to travel light, it does not seem feasible to me.

I think if you have a whole Jeep to carry your things on a game drive, a mini bag will be just fine for the basics

Depends. For the most part I don't travel in the Summer, so I rarely need to carry sunscreen (although I always apply it year round). Snacks, I buy when I'm out. If I'm going to museums etc., they usually prevent you from bringing in big totes, so I leave it at home. If I'm heading out and know I'll be shopping, I usually carry a tote along with the mini Halzan which I use crossbody (better for thwarting thieves.).

Lol we usually have a friend that is a pack mule

I think it depends on what you do.

I typically prefer larger bags for everyday and even I pair down for sightseeing. There’s no way I want to be lugging heavy stuff around. We apply sunscreen once before we leave and again at mid day stop at the place we’re staying. I carry a wristlet or mini flap with cash, cards, hand sanitizer/wipes and phone. Any snacks/drinks we want we stop for. We really don’t snack and drink much because that means bathroom stops which I avoid public bathrooms. We travel with a 7 year old and light carry works still.

If we go out on a long day where I need to carry water and snacks I take a very light beach tote only. I def wouldn’t be carrying two bags around.

Ah, that friend would be me. I’m that friend.

I just went from wearing progressive glasses all day, to needing to carry separate sunglasses, readers etc and some mini bags just aren’t capacious enough any more. I’m still adjusting.
