Very interesting. Thank you! Did you negotiate on price? I have seen some bags on amore but they are still a bit pricier than Ive seen discussed here as “reasonable.”@Letter At a Japanese vintage seller (Amore) that I have had a lot of success with. The bag is 1999 manufacture. A much newer bag in the same condition would likely have been listed at a higher price.
I didn't negotiate. It's true that quite often the bags they carry are listed at higher prices, but older/vintage bags, larger bags and less popular colours in vg/great condition do pop up sometimes at quite good prices - this is by no means the only bag of that quality I have seen on that site in that sort of price range.Very interesting. Update and thanks to all here who helped me be proud loser. This $21K priced bag just sold in Christies auction for $11K ($13860 including buyers premium).I’m glad you decided to pass. It’s an insane price. Since box leather can be spa-ed to great effect, and reseller prices are coming down, I think you will be able to find other BBK28 retournes for a far better price. During covid SIP, I picked up a beautiful BBK28 retourne, phw brushed, for 7K USD. I doubt prices will dip that low again, but there are many better deals.
But, list price on a sellier BBK28 is currently over 16K USD as a point of reference if you decide that you must have that exact bag in the future
