Hello Doc,
I had bought a vintage bbk and am so excited about it. I have attached pictures to show you the condition of the bag. Can you tell me what would I need to make this beauty looks better? The bag is otw to me but I am going to order the products I need at the same time. I do not stay in US but can order the standard B & O stuff from ebay. You mentioned I will need Tarrago black dye for the ends of the bag handle. Can I replace this with fiebing leather dye? Thank you so much!

Fantastic, this bag is gong to look so amazing when you give it some TLC . Yes,in addition to B & O you can use Fiebings black dye (the non professional and non-oil dye) for the edges we mentioned prior instead of Tarrago Black color dye. Looking foward to helping you on your restoration/spa journey come back if you have questions and to post your before and after photos.

Hi Doc,

I was planning to purchase some Lexol-pH Cleaner wipes for the Chevre Interior of my Bags when I saw that there is a new Lexol Premium 3-in-1 Leather Care Wipes. Will this be a better alternative as it cleans, conditions and Protects in one go?

Ultra gentle cleaners lift dirt off the leather without damaging or drying it out. * Lexol Premium 3-in-1 Leather Care is pH balanced and non-alkaline so it contributes to the life of your leather. * Naturally enriched conditioners penetrate below the surface for a rich and supple feel. * Modified oils are absorbed and evenly distributed into the leather fibers. These microscopically fine oils adhere to the fibers to prevent seepage and migration to other surfaces.

Thanks for your appreciated opinion!

Hello there, I have not used these 3 in 1 wipes. Test them out and see how you like them.
As always test a small hidden area and wait 24hrs to make sure you are happy with the results before proceeding to treat a lager area.

Smile... I think that it is best I stick to tried and tested methods first... I will order some Lexol PH leather cleaner for now... Thanks for the clarification!

dear doc - hello again - Its the time of the year when I dig up my old black herbag as its light and a great winter bag. I wonder, since I am in London where it rains a lot, would you recommend anything to protect the leather? (i can post a better photo if you need it- but basically its black hunter leather and it has a nice mat finish which I rather like and dont want to loose.) THANK YOU

Hi
I just wanted to let those in UK know I managed to find these on ebay with reasonable shipping costs. Not sure if I'm allowed to link to the seller though. Now it's just the O to get :smile1:

For Vache Hunter Meltonian all Purpose Cleaner & Conditioner
2 rounds of it should do the trick.

Hello! I'm hoping I can get some help here. My orange Kelly has a tiny bit of rubbing on 2 of the corners. I have seen Tarrago leather dye mentioned here to touch up corners, but my question is which color should I order for classic Hermes orange? I'm ordering online & the only choices I see are Pale Orange & Red Orange. Will one of those match or is there another color I should get?? Thanks in advance!!

Orange is a tricky color, I would get orange ,yellow, red, and and a white or cream and custom mix. Each orange will be a bit different and your color may dry darker than expected. Good luck.

Dear Doc,
I've attached a picture of the corner of my Amazonia/Buffalo Garden Party, it has been rubbed through wear and tear. Should I use Blackrocks on it? or do I need to add some 'colour'? Thanks very much :smile1:

,

Hi there,
Don't use the Blackrock on it unlress you want it to just become slightly darker, for a color loss solution you'll need a small amount of color dye to mask the wear..Try Tarrago color dye find it online at www.shoetreemarketplace.com

Dear Doc,
I understand that you recommend "Armor All Shine Protectant Wipes" (please correct if I'm wrong) to treat the outside of amazonia bags, since the Hermes amazonia wipes are currently unavailable. What would you recommend to clean (remove brownish spots) inside the bag? Thanks so much! :smile1:
