Can someone explain what the sale is? An actual sale? As in lower prices at Hermes 🤯

And it happens in America? At every store?
It’s a “private sale” and everything is 40- 75% off. Biggest discounts are on RTW which is routinely 75% off. It’s not held in a Hermes boutique, it’s in a convention centre in Paris. You have to be invited, to get an invitation you ask your French SA to put you on your list (and then pray, they say there is still “luck” in terms of who gets invited). Pre Covid you had to line up before the sale, now you get an invitation and then reserve a time slot. They only invite people with SAs in France.

There are no bags or cosmetics at the sale. Most other stuff is there, the sale tends to have stuff from two years ago.

There are occasionally sales in USA but location varies. They never have sales in the actual boutiques. There are lots of threads on this forum re past sales.

The sales are twice a year, in January and June.

Please report back after your visit as I am curious as to what the current discount on RTW will be. Prior years it was up to 75% off but recently its been only 40-50%.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone in France can advise on how best to establish a relationship with an SA in one of the Paris stores and secure an invite to the private sale (held in January and June of each year). I have been to many sales in the past where you have to line up and did not need an invitation. Now you need an invitation from Hermes and your SA has to put you on the list for the sale. I have just had a bad experience with an SA at one of the Paris stores (I won't say which one). I bought a fair bit of merchandise (nothing huge by Hermes standards but in the thousands of Euros) and asked the SA to put me on the list for the sale. He said he would try. I asked him again today, he said it was not possible to put me on the list for the June sale but that perhaps I could get on the list for the January 2025 sale 😕. I could not get any clear information out of him as to how much I had to spend to get on the list. He told me to write to customer services and ask to be put on the list. I did that, and customer services immediately wrote back and said that my SA had to put me on the list.

Frankly I feel as if my SA is lying to me. He certainly isn't being completely honest and I am tired of these games that Hermes plays. I also had the sense that I was the first customer who had asked this SA to be put on the list so perhaps I need to look for someone with more experience. Has anyone had good luck in establishing a long term relationship with an SA in Paris, and if so at which store? I have told my SA that I would like to establish an ongoing relationship with an SA but I'm not getting much of a sense that he is particularly interested. I think I need to switch from the store I have been frequenting, I have had bad luck at this particular store more than once. I have a sense that in Paris it is much harder to build a relationship with an SA because all three of the stores are bigger than average and so many of the people shopping there are tourists.

By the way I live in France now and have done so for years (I can't figure out how to change this on my PurseForum profile).

Any advice on establishing a relationship with an SA in Paris would be appreciated! Many thanks.
I had a similar experience with my SA. Last year I asked about the sales in November but he told me it is too late for January sales but that he will put me on the list for the summer sales. When I asked him again in March he told me that he can put my name on the list but the final approval is made by corporate.
As I did not get the email today that means no sales for me this year. I bet you will all find good pieces there! Please share what you got! 😁

Lines were fairly quick. Got there at 8h30, doors opened at 9, I was in by 9h10. Waited maybe 20 minutes for shoes. Nothing spectacular in size 39 but saw some orans and oz mules for the smaller shoe sizes. No boots in my size either but my friend found a pair. Silks were everywhere and easy to pick up, 50% off, and no waiting. Other categories available included hats, costume jewelry, ties, and RTW (where I spend most of my time after shoes). No belts this year. Lots of coats, casual wear for men, dressy clothes for ladies. They had jeans but not in my size unfortunately. A few swimwear pieces but only the tops. A good selection of knitwear but no t-shirts or casual wear in the ladies section (I tried on some men's t-shirts though). Dressing room had hardly any line, although they try to rush you a bit. At the end of the time slot security sweeps everyone out towards the registers, where there was maybe a 20-30 min wait to pay. They took AMEX, cards, and cash, but no store credit as it's run by a different company.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would sign up to go again.

Ahh don’t beat yourself up about it. There will still be stuff. Once I went to last slot on last day and there was less choice but I still got some good pieces. Today I clicked on the link 7 minutes after the email anrrived and I only got slot on morning of the second day. 😂
Hi, at what time did your email invitation arrived in your mailbox?

I'm asking because I clicked within the minute of receipt of the invitation and only got the last slot of the first day. So I wonder if all invitation emails arrive simultaneously..

P.S. I had read previous warnings not to wear H stuff so I went super casual, but there were plenty of ladies with H bags, shoes, jewelry etc and no one had to coat check anything.
Yes, it was the first time customers didn't have to write down the H products they were wearing.
But anyway it's no big deal, it just takes one minute

This question has sparked my curiosity as well! Mine arrived at 14h30 on 30/05, but I know I didn't click the link immediately, when I finally did (maybe 10 minites after arrival) there were 4 slots over 2 days available, and when I went back fifteen minutes later to make a selection there were all 3 slots on the last day were left.

Thanks for your input. Mine arrived at same time.
