I haven’t seen the LV ones, ( any photos anywhere?) but could it be because LV fancy themselves as the heritage travel expert? I ve seen the hermes silk travel cubes in real life and yes although expensive, the quality is just incredibly high. The photos don’t do them justice.

The LV ones come in their monogram etc canvas with leather trim and there are 3 sizes

Interestingly the H ones may be priced slightly differently based on the print?...

The prices in several categories now at Vuitton and Hermes are very similar to the extent where there's no real difference to speak of, and H is sometimes cheaper . Like 90cm silk scarves, shoes/ sneakers, pap (even if it's someitmes difficult to compare)..
I did notice that with shoes. Vuitton shoes have tripled in price over the past few years. Thankfully, their shoes for men rarely appeal to me. I am excited to go pick up new H shoes next week!

Same. I got some LV shoes years ago, but already back then I found the quality largely inferior to other men's shoes (like Church's, Weston, CJ and even Dior etc.) for a similar price, so I wouldn't really consider them even if I realize it might have changed in such a long time. But I still have H shoes from around the same time that look new even without resoling. I've been really tempted by some of the ones that are available on the site now! :D

I completely agree. On top of that H is much lighter than the LV version, and it makes a huge difference when one is packing a lot. And I actually like the different prints: they help me to identify what’s inside without having to open them up. Of course, they are not necessities, but tbh I don’t think any packing cubes is...

I have two small and one medium LV packing cubes, they are perfect for cosmetics, toiletries and plugs etc. Great shape when full, and I love that they are soft so that they can squeeze if needed when packed. I have used these non stop since I bought them as I travel once a week, sometimes carry on only and sometimes check in. I did get a large size (30cmish from memory) but returned it, didn’t feel the LVMH coated leather was necessary for clothes/didn’t think I would use it in the large size. I’ve seen the Hermes ones at Hong Kong Airport, they look beautiful and I like that they are in silk but sturdy and in a simple pattern, thus based on these photos they must be making them in different prints.

I wasn’t, but I am now! that’s a good point, but so far so good... maybe all the tights I have put in so far are all thick ones, that would be the only thing I would be worried about. Otherwise all the other things I have put in there are pretty unsnagable.
:laugh:Sorry to have scared you! Sounds like it is not an issue. Thank you for sharing!:flowers:

oh no problem at all, don’t be silly. Now I’m thinking of it, I’m surprised that it hasn’t yet... maybe also because the shape is quite soft (unlike the stock pix, it actually hold the shape without anything in it), so when I have to zip it up, I can simply push the clothes down a bit. That might have helped!

Are they delicate? I am looking for a travel cosmetic case tht opens like a packing cube so thati can easily see all the makeup inside.. i was going to get the lv packing cube but the hermes one seems to b cheaper and is gorgeous.. im sure the inside wont love the makeup but if tht doesnt bother me would the hermes on be an option?

I would go for the LV if it’s for cosmetic, or another leather model (And also depends on how much you take on a trip of course). The packing cubs discussed here are made of silk, and will not hold the shape at all. So if you are not filling it up, the middle will just sag and move around quite a lot inside. Assuming you are not bringing a full packing cub case of makeup, another smaller, perhaps in leather, model would be better. (Or the LV one)
