They definitely bend the rules. My SA's have never advised me of a 6 month rule. In fact, last year I bought two Birkins from the same boutique in the same month then bought a third one the following month in the Denver Boutique! It appears, that either the rules differ from location to location or certain clients are permitted to purchase freely throughout the year. It's Hermes, so who knows?

I didn't really pass on it (already have a retourne black box 28 w/ ghw), but I was shown this for a size reference since I have not seen a 32 size in person before.

Congrats! Box is one of the best leathers for a Kelly. I have one box K that is 65 years old, another that is 36 and both still beautiful. A sellier box K in PHW is VERY rare to find new.
Now, I do suggest you read up on it because if you don't love it, there are other bags.
On the 6-month "rule", first of all that rule is arbitrary, secondly it isn't time-based, it's January-June and July-December. So for instance, the Birkin I bought on 12/31 would not stop me from buying another on 1/1.

This bag is too beautiful!, you absolutely made the right choice. I can't wait to own my first Kelly....I think it's going to be a good few years until I'm so lucky!
