Ooh it is gorgeous! I love the Les Mustangs design already, but this marble edition is really special. Beautiful colours on you too. Congratulations and enjoy 😍
Thank you. I know you love this design and I’m happy to have a version of it.
Yay yay yay! So happy you found “your” marble. I find it so odd yet true that these marbles can take some time to find the one. It took me forever with Wow. I have owned all marbles except that first flower one and I have rehomed them all because I just wouldn’t wear them for this or that reason. Although all gorgeous and would be amazing as art. Wow fit the bill with its more casual feel and darker colors. And I also got your mustangs and it also is glorious with all its marbling and less blank and its pastels.
So happy you are happy with mustangs! It’s gorgeous on you :ghi5:
Thank you and so happy we’re twins.
gorgeous! I'm waiting for mine to arrive :)
Yay. Looking forward to seeing your photos.

Adding a few more photos of Les Mustangs marble silk. At the current price point, I had to think about it but I’ve been waiting to find one that suits my colouring and that doesn’t have too much blank space in corners, and I think this is the one.

It appeared for a moment on the UK website and I went for it. Every store I’ve been to in the UK and both stores in Madrid still hadn’t even seen it (or so they said).

Congratulations on nabbing this one @GloWW0rM! I love mine also. It is perfection and looks fabulous on you!

CedarWaxWing, I am honored to be twinning with you!!! You are so lovely and this scarf just adds to your lovliness. Don't you love the strong teal border on this scarf? You styled this perfectly!!! I came back to add that I have a white jean jacket to wear with this, too! Thank you for the style inspiration!!!
Yay that we are twins @Ladybaga! And thank you so much for your kind comments. You are always such an inspiring and warm contributor here and I love reading your always uplifting responses. ♥️ Yes, a white jean jacket is a must, is it not? I have one in white and one in off-white for good measure.
Such a fun design! I wish they had just called it "The Picnic One" instead of Un Carre Sur L’Herbes though.
Yes @CoastalCouture! That would be easier to remember and pronounce for us English speakers, wouldn't it? It is a fun design. I look forward to tying it in such a way as to prominently show off the sardines and see what kinds of reactions I get. :giggle:
Love this one. Such an underrated gem and beautiful in this cw.
@Maedi It is fun and I also love the way the design appears as if painted in watercolor.
I heard an SA call it "le carré picnic" in George V ... Altough the name references to the masterpiece of Edouard Manet, "Le déjeuner sur l'herbe"
Well now, @Brides de Gala CC, this comment sent me down a rabbit hole of inquiry into Manet's painting, and I am more enriched because of it, so thank you!

The Story Behind on the website makes no reference to Manet's painting, but it wouldn't be the first time other artists have reproduced it with their own take on it. Interestingly, it states that the design is by a "young American artist", Nikki Maloof. So would that make her the second American artist whose designs Hermès has featured on silk, following Kermit Oliver?

She is on Instagram and also has a website. She says on Instagram regarding her collaboration with Hermès that this project took two years "and as many colors as was possible to use" to complete and she couldn't be happier with it. She says she "wanted to create a motif that played with a scarf within the scarf." She doesn't mention any other inspiration, but perhaps I will pose the question to her regarding any inspiration from Manet's groundbreaking painting.

Nikki's other pieces are interesting and frequently involve food, and fish in particular.

The Story Behind

With silvery fish, fruit and flowers, the drawings and oil paintings of young American artist Nikki Maloof invite you to join her at her appetizingly colorful table. Radishes, tomatoes, sardines, cherries, watermelon and a baguette adorn the checkered tablecloth for this spring picnic. On a bed of daisies, she plays mischievously with still-life art, bringing her joyful, delicious memories to life. A daring scarf to wear all summer long.

You're welcome. I wouldn't make assumptions regarding Nikki Maloof's inspirations for the design. I can only observe the wordplay in their scarf names and admire the playfulness of Dumas' creative team. They surely prefer a wink over stating the obvious ;)

Adding one I don't think we’ve seen Thalassa Cotton Twilly. I don’t have any Thalassa formats, and I wasn’t enamored with the CSGM Thalassa colorways this season, but being as I spend a lot of time out on the water, I am so happy to have this little gem for summertime. S/S 2025 011581SH02 Rose/Bleu Ciel/Vert. I think it might be the first-ever cotton Twilly. It’s adorable.

That's so cute! I tried a vintage Thalassa but it just looked a little 70s on me, to me ;-)

Cool and dreary today, so I have an unseasonable chance to wear my new Eperon d'Or et Tenues de Jour shawl. Mocha (kitty) decided to be in the picture.
